1. The vacuum-sealed marijuana was in a boogie board bag that Corby admitted owning.
2. Customs official Gusti Nyoman Winata said he asked Corby to open the bag, but she unzipped only a front pocket. "When I opened it a bit, she said: 'No'," Mr Winata said. "I asked: 'Why?', and she said: 'I have some,' and looked confused." Mr Winata added that she blocked his hand to stop him opening the main zip.
3. Corby disputed Mr Winata's version, but there was no CCTV system in operation to support her denial.
4. A second customs official said Corby admitted owning the drugs.
5. Corby failed to notice the bag's extra weight. Her excuse was that the bag's handle had been broken on the way to Bali, meaning she had to drag it.
6. While Australian baggage handlers have since been linked to an airport cocaine-smuggling ring, which was in operation on the date Corby flew to Bali, there has never been any suggestion or evidence of them trafficking marijuana.
7. A drug dealer employing baggage handlers would be highly unlikely to smuggle four kilograms of marijuana into Brisbane airport and then into a stranger's bag, just to send it on to Sydney. Such a task would further require another handler at Sydney to sneak it out of the bag and hide it while attempting to get it out of the airport. As road haulage experts have confirmed, smug-glers could avoid this by sending it by road.
8. Prosecutors claim the plastic bag was the same size and shape as the boogie board bag, suggesting it had been organised to fit, as opposed to being stuffed in by someone else, such as baggage handlers.
9. Hydroponic marijuana is highly sought after among cashed-up expatriates and tourists in Bali.
10. Had Corby been aware of the drugs and had her bag been properly secured with a padlock, there would have been no chance of her claiming that the marijuana had been planted in her bag.
She has drug history with the authorities in Australia and it is well known that her family are involved in drug supply. I'm not one to judge whether or not Schappelle Corby is innocent or guilty, but who are we to question the integrity of the Indonesian Court/Government. No one got to hear all the available evidence apart from the judge, and he made a decision which he found fair and just. She was did not receive any indifferent treatment so for the time being, Australians should accept the judges verdict and show respect to the Indonesian people and its Government/Legal System.
The Indonesian gonvernement should show a little more respect for Australia. If other countries were that narrow minded and heartless then Indonesia would have close to nothing now without all our tsunami relief. Ungrateful.
I am so pleased a man who masterminded the deaths of 88 Australians gets a more lenient sentence than a foreign citizen that may or may not be innocent.

Australian criminals should serve time in Australian jails. Whether or not Schappelle is guilty or not is beside the point. She should have been extradited to Australia to face court.

Why have a trial in the first place with a judge who boast he has never had an aquittal. Sounds like he has already made up his mind. He also said he has seen all the tears before. How can the Balinese judges deliver a verdict of guilty when they haven’t proof the drugs belonged to Schapelle? How many people, foreigners and Indonesians alike, have been imprisoned because they cannot prove they are innocent of a ‘crime’? If someone planted drugs on the judges, would they be able to prove their innocence? Or would they automatically get off because of who they are? Please bring Schapelle home.

as some-one who has been put in jail for some-thing i have never done i thought my brain would explode trying to come to terms with serving a possible prison term for something i had never done. i have seen the look in her eyes and heard her speak and that look brought all those emotions back. i was lucky to have had recieved a judge who was not biased towards police but towards justice. i was also lucky that i was in australia. when i watched the verdict passed down, i too thought about boycotting bali as i go every year, but the only people would suffer would be the local balinese. the indonesian gov dont even care about bali. instead of boycotting bali the aus gov should pressure the indo gov as much as they can, why should schappelle, the balinese locals and the frustrated aus citizens suffer because the aus gov cant or wont get their **** together.

I am English, I have many Indonesians friends, and think that they are the coolest ppl in the world. So the decison they made is quite right and she got what she deserved.

I think the trail was very unjust, as the surfboard bag and its contents was not properly processed (fingerprinted or weighted), I think every Australian should NOT go to Bali for a holiday for at least the term of her sentence, or until she is set free. I for one will not be going ever again. I think Mr Howard could have done a lot more for her. In fact I don't think he did anything, If it had been one of his children, they would have been home the next day.
