This is a bizarre case. 1st the conviction for her carrying drugs is unsafe - it is not beyond reasonable doubt that they were hers. Secondly, the penalty is utterly inappropriate - we are talking about marijuana here, not murders carried out in East Timor, or socalled spiritual leaders of terrorist movements such as Bashir. Thirdly it shows a base arrogance and ingratitude towards our country that a citizen of ours can be treated in such fashion. Why waste our money sending aid to such people.

Schapelle is inoccent.why would you smuggle thousands of dollars worth of dope from Australia, only to sell it for a few hundred dollars in Indonesia?? Furthermore this is the first time anyone has been caught smuggling this amount of dope INTO Indonesia, why would you do it, even drug dealers arn't that stupid. Ive been to bali (like most young Australians) and you can get dope literally on every steet corner in Kuta for a couple of dollars, or any other drugs for that matter, the whole thing is a joke, the corruption and collusion between the police and dealers has to be seen to be belived.the thing that really disgusts me though is the lack of help the Australian foreign affairs and tha Australian federal police have given Ms Corby, if she is found inoccent it will be no thanks to them.

At first I was unsure if she did it or not. I now belive she is Innocent, there is too much dodgey shit behind the case, ie: video tapes gone missing, JJJ's Hack was a real lifting point for me. I have spoken to Schapelle in Australia where I saw her on a regular basis. She is a smart and intelligent woman who would never pull such a ridiculous stunt as smuggling drugs into Bali. I think of you daily Schappelle hang in there!

When I went to Bali I was offered drugs on every corner of Kuta.I was also there at the time of the bombings and lost a friend of mine. I have travelled back there since the bombings, and I will NEVER be going back again if she gets convicted. Wake up to yourselves

I work in a news organisation and have been following Schapelle's story since it broke. I feel so sorry for that poor girl. On all of the evidence pointing to her innocence, and the entire prosecution appearing to be a single customs officer who can't speak english...how can the Indonesian government even consider that she is guilty? It is ridiculous...absolutely ridiculous. The Australian Government is finally appearing to be doing something to help, which should have been done from the very start. My thoughts are with Schapelle through her ordeal and I hope that justice is done and she is able to return home.

Whether in posession of cannabis or not, the punishment far outweighs the crime. I realize foreigners must obey the laws of the country they visit, but please, let the attention brought to this case be a catalyst to re-examine what is plainly a violation of the natural law. There is no way that the posession of cannabis deserves even jail, much less the death penalty.
