i was praying weeks ago just standard prayers to God, and during prayer , i believe god asked me to go to a site and ask others to pray for Schapelle and her accusers. I thought this odd, but i did so, in 2-3 days i read that that her a business volunteered a free legal expences for her. Every influence possible should be exercised diplomatically to protect Schapelle and all Australian citizens abroad.Ron Bakir and his lawyer have acted as you would expect the Government and Federal Police should and have shown outstanding qualities as citizens.Her only crime is not to be related to wealth and power.It is just appalling.
I have 3 children the age of Shapelle and my heart bleeds for her. I firmly believe she is innocent of any wrong doing and pray she will be home soon. My daughter went to B ali a few years ago ... to think this could have happened to her makes me go cold. Stay strong Shapelle, you'll be home soon.
If i am hearing rightly, her luggage weighed less in Australia than when it arrived in Indonesia. So how could she be guilty if she didn't have any contact with her luggage from leaving Australia and arriving in Indonesia?? I think you are being too hard on Shapella and deserves to be treated innocent until proven guilty!!!
It is disturbing watching the Schapelle Corby court case unfold. It's nightmarish at it's best. What sort of judicial system do they operate over in Indonesia. Cameras are heavily involved inside the courtroom, intruding at every opertunity to get "that" photo, they are even allowed behind the judges and in the faces of the accused, and the judges just sit there as though it's a movie set. It's insanity. There is no jury involved, only the decisions of 3 corrupt judges I suspect, to make a decision on the life or death of this girl. No doubt, their decision has already been reached, probably weeks ago. Blind Freddy can see this girl is innocent, but obviously the judges cannot (won't) see through this. It is a 'lesson' to westerners, and she happens to be the innocent by-stander caught up in someone elses fun times. I would never travel within coo eee of any of these places if you paid me too, it's far too risky and the consequences are well.....disaterous to put it mildly. We sit and hope.
One thing that's interesting about this case is the total lack of support Corby has gotten from the Australian government. Her defence team is being funded by a guy named Ron Bakir, who founded the "Mad Ron's" chain of mobile phone stores 10 years ago. I hate to think what would've happened to her if this guy hadn't stepped up to the plate.
I don't believe for one moment that anyone who knew they were carrying drugs into Bali would just stupidly put them in a body board cover. Even proven drug runners and users do a better job of attempting to conceal the drugs than that. So many Australians have dug so deeply into their pockets to help all those in need of aide since the Tsunami, and yet one of our own is so cruely accused and detained for something that she DID NOT DO. How about we hold off on the Billions in aide till the Indonesian Government sees reason and releases an innocent woman ?? Someone who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time !!! I am sure that Schapella Corby is innocent person and she must be freed. But even if she is not, I don’t see any justice in the Indonesian low. Now they are talking about 4 kg. of drugs!! What about four million times, if not more, of human rights abuse??? Anyway this all is not going to make any satisfactory result and is not going to free the girl. I believe that the only way to free her and in the same time please the Australian people is by the interfering of the Australian government strongly in this case. I feel deeply sorry for Shapelle. With all the aid that the country is investing into Indonesia in times of tradegy, you'd think that they'd show some compassion on one of our fellowmen. Whilst terrorist Bashir gets 2.5 years for the Bali bombings whilst killed 100s of innocent people, Shapelle is facing the death sentence for drug-smuggling, when it seems obvious that she is innocent.
