In my view it is obvious that she is innocent. Nobody would smuggle drugs into another country, (especially when you have to fear the death penalty once you are caught) "hiding" the drugs in an unlocked piece of luggage.
Today, the Australian Government can do little as it has no jurediction on Indonesian laws. However as soon as the sentence is given, The Australian Government can apply diffrent options available under the Bilateral cooperation agreements which deals with irregular people movement and transnational crime, including drug trafficking and organised people smuggling .It also cover a wide range of issues,including extradition.This was put in place between Australia and Indonesia in 2001.

This is illogical. Only a lunatic would "smuggle" drugs to a country with zero tolerance to trafficking and a death penalty an obvious certainty. She does not seem insane to me. Apart from anything else such a crime would reap no benefits as selling drugs in her own country would be more lucrative - it just does not make sense. What Shapelle is going through is an absolute crime in itself and if the Indonesian government can't see that then Howard should show some leadership and act to save her. Shit - he's quick enough to act when he's kissing Bush's arse.

Its not right to give, terrorists, 18 months jail for bombing bail and give this women who has no clue that the drugs were in her luggage and give her the death penatly. What are we saying accidental drugs are worth a life, planning to kill hundreds is worth 18 months. If that the law and so called justice its a joke, and bail needs to have a good hard look because they look more then stuipd in the eyes of the rest of the world. A place were true crimals walk away, and inoccent are sentanced to death!

I recently gave money for the tusami apeal as I'm sure many of us did. We support others in Indo in their time of need and this is what we get. the evidence as I see it doesn't justifiy locking her up let alone threatening to take her life. This could have happend to anyone travelling in or out of Indonesia. She is the victim of a someone elses greed. It is very unfair that she could face the firing squad when someone like the the mastermind of the bali bombing hasn't. We haven't hesitated to help the poor people affected by the tsunamis and earthquakes. Why can't the Indonesia goverment feel some compassion for Schapella Corby. I wish her all the best, we are all praying for her release.

There are many un answered questions , why would a young girl take drugs abroad, especially to a place where you could pay the ultimate penalty. She is as inocent as my two daughters I can see it in her face. I am also discusted with how little the Australian Goverment has done to help this girl. I would like to see a Petition in the Australian press that would put pressure on the Australian Goverment to make more of an effort to set an inocent girl free. You only have to look at Schpelles face to see she is an innocent victim. I look at her face and I see what I would when I look at my own daughters faces. Let this girl go.

Free this innocent young girl. Her life has already been destroyed by this obvious mix up by cowardly drug dealers. They should own up to their crime. It is obvious to anyone with half a brain that these type of drugs do not get smuggled into Bali. It's like smuggling into Amsterdam. Pointless.There is no market, no reason and therefore no fairness in Ms corby's arrest. Look into her eyes and tell me that this girl deserves such a harsh punishment.
