Not only is it disgusting the way someone so obviously innocent is being treated, you would think indonesia would be willing to compromise with Australia due to ALL the Aid work our country has done for them.

I will never ever travel to Indonesia now that I know how corrupt and unjust the Indonesian Government is. They haven't got one scrap of evidence to prove that those drugs are Schapelle's. It was found in her bag but she didn't put it there, that is obvious. Something has to be done to stop the Indonesian Government from being so harsh and unfair to its prisoners.
Australians thinking of travelling to Indonesia ask yourself how would you cope in this situation? Is a holiday really worth such a risk, Being held in prison for a crime you did not commit and facing a possible death sentence. Please rethink travel to Indonesia.

How can an innocent person be left to fend for themselves and not receive govt assistance .We assist this shattered region as we should but ignore the pleads of an innocenet aust citizen. Our govt should be ensuring she receives a fair trial ,but a country that shows more mercy to mass murderers than alleged drug traffickers can only be seen as insipid, weak and lacking moral fibre. A fair trial I dont think so.
The waythe Indonesian people are treating this poor woman is atrocious. Taking into consideration that once you enter a foreign country you must abide by their laws and beliefs, I feel that the measures taken toward Ms Corby are mindboggling. Granted that the Indonesians have there laws the must adhere to but this is to far, they will punish a person for killing someone, but they will kill someone for having a little ‘pot’. Pathetic!
Schapelle is inocent how could such a backward country like indonesia have caught schapelle before australia if not for the drugs being planted in the first place it's time to set her free.

look at her background??she has no prior drug use or convictions. add up the facts . marijuana has no street value in indonesia either .so indonesia let the bali bombers off with a 2 year sentence but kill an innocent woman over a bag of marijuana that she didnt even bring in . if you kill her dont expect australia to be one of your allies.

This episode has also made me think long & hard about ever going to Bali on a holiday — for two reasons: in protest of capital punishment (who makes u decide who lives or dies?) , and because I have no confidence that I would be protected from the same thing happening to me.
What kind of legal system would put a young foreign woman before a firing squad or in jail for life for drug smuggling, and give a terrorist mastermind (murderer by proxy) only three years??? Utterly ridiculous!
I cannot believe how our government has not stepped in to help this poor girl. The Indonesian Government can spare a "Bali Bombers life" but are willing to execute a person for Marijuana possession. Regardless of her guilt or innocence, isn't this a little extreme? I know that if you enter another country you should respect their laws but with Indonesia's "Kangaroo court" legal system how can anybody 'respect' that! She has made a mistake. Her mistake is to travel to such a backward, narrow minded, under-achieving country that we, in the world, refer to as Indonesia.

Wake up Bali, there is no way an Australian would bother to smuggle marijuana into your country. For one reason you have the death penalty and second it's worth more in Australia than Bali!!
I think that the Indonesian govt is a joke and Aust is not much better. Why should we donate money, provide foreign aide and better their lives when this is what they do to our citizens in return. Please know that those of us who are outraged by the possibility that Schappelle Leigh Corby could be executed merely for an alleged marijuana possession is cruel and unusual punishment. Marijuana never killed anyone, how could someone face the death penalty for it iin Bali? Please don't commit a crime like this by executing her. Even the USA doesn't kill people over marijuana!
When I heard the story on the news last October I said bull, shes innocent. Ive been thinking of her ever since as I cannot begin to imagine what she is thinking, feeling etc. Im discusted in the Indonesian legal system and with the lack of support Australia gave until recently thanks to crazy ron. I never have, never will or never book someone to Bali. (I am a Travel Consultant)
The Indonesion legal system is about as primitive as you can get. where else could you be put to death for a bit of pot but spared for killing over 200 people in a cowardly attack. Good luck Schapella as that is what it all boils down to. Or maybe our prime minister could get off his butt and tell the Indonesians to stop this farcicle game.
