As an ex-military senior officer, I am bitterly disappointed with the lack of positive action from the Australian Government. I am also appalled with our security system and their tardiness to try to find X-Ray footage of Corby's luggage when it was scanned. This whole matter is dispicable. Kevin Loughrey

Free this woman. What's happening is archaic and totally off the scale. We live in a world where too much dark shit is tolerated and then someone has to face the death penalty for this. Guilty or innocent is totally irrelavent - what these guys r planning to do is murder - pure and simple. Let the poor girl go.......

What she needs is a good international lawyer. If you want to help contact people that can help--UN, Australian Embassy. We've been boycotting Indo since local muslim, religious vigilantes bombed a bar with our friends inside. Beautiful place but full of inhumane havoc. I'd stay away from third world countries... They won't execute her though. Just watch. If anyone knows any fantastic drug offense/felony lawyers contact them and/or the UN or the Australian Embassy.

This case really highlights one of South East Asia's great paradoxes: almost everywhere the rule of law is weak and corrupt yet the one legal procedure in which it leads the world is executions for drug offences .... If she is put to death, Mr Howard should threaten to rip up the $1B cheque that he is giving to Indonesia Tsunami appeal. See how quickly the indonesians will change their tune then! There are so many questions and points that need answering whith this case. Over in indonesia you are guilty until you prove yourself innocent. The indonesians seem suspeciosly reluctant to allow testing of the drugs found for their origin, fingerprints etc In America a person can be also scanned to see if they have been in any "contact" with drugs. This was not done either. The trial is a "kangaroo" court in a country where there is an radical element that is out to get Australians. Planting drugs in foreigners baggage is on method that is in use. This isnt the first time that is has happened.

Lets make a noise about this Australia, time for some charity at home. Very disappointed to see a SGT writing in here a petition for support, and showing his obvious guilty opinion doesnt say alot for our law enforcemen, how quickly we forget cases like innocent Lindy Chamberlain.

Excuse me LucyLu how dare you be so condescending. You don't know that she committed the crime - in fact - most people believe she didn't. Lets wait for you to be set up like she was and when you are facing death by firing squad - we'll sit back and be highly judgemental just like you are. You seem like a horrible person and I wish Schapelle good luck because she is going to need it with judgemental fools like you in our world.

BOYCOTT BALI!!!!! Is this the way they treat visiters to their country by framing them with drug possession! Where is our Australian government when you need them? Why aren't they helping an innocent victim? the Indonesian Law is absolutely ridiculous and inhumane. After all the help with gave them with the bombings and now they frame one of our own, what kind of evil people are you in Bali. Karma will prevail.. We love and miss you Schapelle and will see you back at home soon. BOYCOTT BALI!!

She has been the victim of baggage tampering. It is a world-wide phenonemon. The evidence against her is flimsy. The airline that transported her baggage and the Australian Government need to get involved. If any investigation is needed it is in Australia and of procedures at all these privatised Australian airports. The news reports say that the Indonesion police detected the contraband in her luggage as soon as it came off the plane and watched it closely. Of couse they scared off the baggage handler that was waiting to receive it. Boycott everything Indonesian and boycott Bali if these guys don't come to their senses.
#535

Somer said 02/04/05, 1:31 am (verified)
I feel absolutely sick that this is occuring. It is so clearly obvious that it is an unfair trial - why doesn't our government do something to help her. She has been set up - no one would have that much and not try and conceal it properly - it is a JOKE and something should be done immeadiately. My heart is aching for Schapelle and her family and I wish them all the best and we can only hope that the truth will prevail.

It is inappropriate for a government of reform such as the current Indonesian government to perpetuate barbaric punishments for civil offences. Please consider your obligations to international treaties on this matter, and what the holy Quran says on taking life, and permit Ms Corby to be house in a humane manner, given adequate trial preparation facilities (including appropriate forensic tests). The international community is watching you.

This is absolutely ridiculous. This poor girl has been framed for somethinhg she has not done...and we all know how corrupt the Indonesian/Bali Police are/can/and always will be. My father lived in Indonesia for over 4 1/2 years and I saw money swap from his hand to an Indonesian's Police hand without even a blink of an eyelid. And that was all because he was driving without an Indonesian license. FREE THIS POOR GIRL!! Our Govenment should be doing something here....especially after all the help we are giving to the Indonesian's after the Tsunami attack...COME ONE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT SHOW US THAT YOU CARE AND GET HER OUT OF THAT HORRIBLE PLACE NOW!!!!

I would like to know what our government is doing to support and free Ms Corby. I do not feel that this government supports its citizens when they are in trouble. Is it due to fear to stand up to other governments? This could easily happen to anyone and I don't have the money or the power to hire a legal team to represent me overseas or lobby the government through my contacts to help release myself or my daughter...
