What is going on here? Indonesia has a terrible history of corruption in the army and police-force, thriving to this day on bribery and brutality. Corby has been randomly chosen to represent the evil drug smuggling Australian to the rest of the world. Did the Brisbane airport security not screen her bags prior to boarding the plane … of course they did, we have one of the tightest international security checks in the world. And what is more suspicious is why our politicians did not step in to assist her immediately. I don’t believe she will executed, but it’s the suffering of being left in jail to rot ‘until further notice’ that is the indignity on our fellow Australians – the Politicians are playing with someones life (again) . Surely there are records of weight at the time of checking in at Brisbane Airport at the time of departure. After the baggage is checked in how can the owner of the baggage access it to repack or tamper with its contents. Security cameras are also at the customs points, so where is that hard evidence?

It's very difficult to believe that this woman is guilty of the crime she is being prosecuted for. Does Indonesia not also have "beyond reasonable doubt" in their court system?

More and more Australians are obviously concerned for Schapella now because the circumstances behind her arrest in Bali airport are just far to suspicious for her to be guilty.. She departed Brisbane Airport without any trace of illegal drugs on her person and suddenly when she arrives in Bali she is singled out and accused of trying to smuggle illegal drugs into Indonesia. As the drugs were found in her bag she looked as startled as the customs officer as to what they were doing there. To prosecute her for this is an injustice when it appears more than obvious some lowlife planted them on her at a time she was not alert and it was either on the plane itself or somewhere within bali airport.
The Australian Government is Her Government and she has the right to their Full Legal Protection. Under the suspicious circumstances Alexander Downer should by right demand himself to visit her personally in her cell and to cut out his soft touch diplomacy careful not to upset his Indonesian counterparts. The Australian Government and the Indonesian Government should be both made aware that any harm done to Schapelle Corby is certainly going to Damage relations between Australia and Indonesia and as neighbours this is not the proper direction on which to expand friendship. How many of us on here gladly donated our hard earned dollars to help the people of Aceh, Indonesia after the terrible Tsunami disaster and in our humanitarian spirit as Australians even went to Aceh to help our fellow human beings there to make a start on rebuilding their lives and their communities. We have shown we care for our neighbours despite the bombings against us and the often apathy shown to us by many religious bigots in Indonesia simply because we honour God in a different way in Australia. At the end of the day alls we ask is that Justice be done and that our sister Schapella Corby be allowed to return home to her loved ones and to her family.

From the moment I saw this story on television I thought "this girl is innocent". To me she seemed a really healthy sensible girl who wouldn't take drugs let alone smuggle them and why would she smuggle them INTO Bali for God's sake. It makes no sense.

Any person that knows the International Law knows that buying or selling drugs will be a death sentence, so why the hell would a young Australian girl who was travelling to Bali for a holiday want to risk ending up in jail and facing the firing squad?
We have sent off a letter of protest to John Howard Prime Minister of Australia and suggested that he assist this Australian girl and get her back to Australia and hear her case here on Australian soil, if she has a case to answer to, which I doubt very much.

As a former police officer this does look very suss. Brisbane Airport is the key to all this. Also as already said its importing drugs INTO AUSTRALIA that makes the money. These drugs that were planted on her are chicken feed in Indonesia. It is a major worry for all of us that the Australian Government is not protecting its citizens when it really matters. Also Amnesty International should be informed of every single detail involving her prosecution by Indonesian authorities. There is no greater disgrace than punishing an innocent person for something they have not done.
