Schapelle needs to be returned to Australia - We do not believe in capital punishment, or support it happening in any other country - this is wrong, send her home to us.
The death penalty for an "alleged"crime in which the only victim is the accused in this day & age is absolutely ludicrous.Do what's right, let the poor girl go,she has been terrified enough by indonesia's barbaric laws.Makes me ashamed to share their blood!
Schapella must be sent home a free person. While Indonesia is so corrupt with its laws I will never travel there again. I have hung a yellow ribbon for you.
Indonesian Government! This poor girl is innocent, surely! It simply doesn't add up to decide otherwise. The Indonesian Govt. must find a way to release the legal authorities from executing the death sentence in accord with Indonesian law. WHY? Because it will damage Indonesia greatly in the eyes of the world.
Keep strong, we are all here for you. What shocks me about Bali is they can bomb people & rape little innocent children and ruin lives but if you bring drugs into their country its the chopping block. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GUYS THINKING!!!!!!! MONEY MONEY MONEY
I have travelled to bali 6 times this year, since the 'Visa on arrival' rip off was introduced, on some occasions I have been held up for 2 hours before getting to the baggage collection area. When you finaly get there you can spend another 30 minutes looking through piles of luggage to find yours, with no security in sight. Since the Corby incident there has been a notable increase in luggage security and speed getting a visa....on my last trip the Bali newspaper announced that Indonesia had topped the list as the most corrupt country in the world.....Let the girl go ,she has suffered enough
how can you expect to be treated like democracy and yet behave like this? I shudder when thinking about all the Indonesian nationals who don't have media coverage much Schapelle to expose the absurdity of the Indonesian legal system.
I can't believe how messed up the laws in Indonesia are. They really have no value for human life. They allow known terrorists to live, and yet threaten victims. Australia has given so much to them, and not just financially. When are they going to give back? ..start by giving us Schapella!
It is disgusting and barbaric'death
penalty by firing squad' law exists, and that any person should
be subject to it. This law is out-dated and inhumane and considering that convicted
terrorist Abu Bakar Bashir has only been sentenced to two years and six
months jail (with the prospect of appeal) for his proven'conspiracy'
participation in the Bali bombings that killed 183 people, in the
same country, it is inconsistent and absurd that another person should face
the death penalty for allegedly smuggling cannibis into the country.
Set the poor girl free, this is ridiculous. You can see it in her eyes that she is the victim of careless drug dealers. If she is found guilty over this, I propose a mass boycott of Bali to show our disgust. Schapelle, you are in my prayers.
I firmly believe she did not take drugs into this country ,why take it in when it is easy to get the stuff there ,also it is now being showen there is a drug racket in Australia between airports
I believe shes telling the truth. I mean wouldnt her bags been checked before she left Australia?!?! Any way the drugs that she supposedly took over arent worth anything much at all. I hope to God that she gets off. This just shouldnt be happening to her. Or Any one in that matter.
How in the world can one judge or several judges decide the fate of a person whoose eveidence prove to be innocent. Who gives Judge the authority to put this innocent person to deat? They should look at their legal system and how pathetic it is. The judge is not GOD and has given no life to this woman therefore has no right to take her life away from her. These people should look at become people of the world and not God themselves; which they are not!!!
If this case was in Australia, it would have been thrown out weeks ago. This women has been set up big time and it does not take much intelligence to see that. In stead of these third world judges trying to make a name for themselves, they should show a little passion and realease this innocent girl. Keep strong Schapelle and justice will prevail.
I can'timagine what she must be going through, but is HAS to end! Can Amnesty International do something? Or a big media thing give more attention to this? Here in Holland we haven't heard about this at ALL!
Anyone who thinks she is guilty has got a pea for a brain. No way she is a drug addict or a drug dealer, take a look at her and what she is going through. This case needs to be aborted and she needs to be sent home to recover with her family. It will take her years to get over this barbaric act against her. I feel sick to the bottom of my stomach just thinking what she is going through. Keep strong Shapella and justice will prevail.
Please let her go - She is innocent...She does not need to bring the weed to Bali, which grows freely every where there. the weed would worth more to stay in Australia - It's a stuffed up situation.
This case is hitting home with everyone for the simple reason that this could happen to anybody. If this trial was being held in Australia, the overwhelming opinion would be that the evidence against Schapelle in no way exceeds the requirement to prove her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Unfortunately, in Indonesia, no one seems to be looking at this situation objectively, and are overly concerned with upholding their ridiculously severe laws which are out of touch with the Western world, who provide most of their tourism, contribute to a substantial portion of their economy and are the first countries to deliver aid when needed. We are now asking these same countries to assist one of our citizens, and they are throwing it in our face. One things for sure - the death of Schapelle will signal the death of Australian tourism to a country and economy so despirate for our custom...and they will have noone else to blame.
Neither truth nor guilt without question has yet been served. We have not and will never travel anyway near Indonesia, there was no justice when 5 Australian reporters were murdered by Indonesians in 1995
The case does not seem to have been investigated properly from the start. Without absoulte proof of her guilt there is no way she should be executed or even spend a long period in jail. You would have to ask why a young, sensible person such as Schapella would even consider drug smuggling (especially marijuana) into a country where it would hardly be viable. Just doesn't make sense. Let her go home as she rightly should.
I can't believe that she would have been silly enough to try and bring in a load of drugs like that. With all the problems with baggage handling, surely there is not enough evidence to convict this poor girl
When you are told that Schapelle Corby could get the death penalty and that Abu Barka Bashier got such a ridiculously light token sentence for mass murder, we all know the type of justice a non Muslam/Indonesian can look forward to.
This whole trial is a complete sham and the Indonesians should hand their heads in shameas should the pussyfooting Australian government.
Shame Prime Minister Howard, Minister Downer,
and Minister Costello.
If it was your daughter up there it would be a totaly different story, you would move heaven and earth using as much political leverage as possible.
The Austalian Government give me the impression that they just don't care - and that's very very sad.
This could be me, or my daughter, or my mother...in fact, ANYONE could be trapped in this hideous situation over which they have no control and which occurred through no fault of their own. It is obvious Ms Corby had nothing to do with the drugs - no-one would be so stupid as to put that huge bundle in a bag to take on an international flight and not even try to hide it. It stuck out like a sore thumb. She is an innocent victim and my heart goes out to her. BE STRONG, SCHAPELLE, MANY PEOPLE ARE THINKING OF YOU AND PRAYING FOR YOUR RELEASE.
I am not asking you to free her. If she is guilty then she should be punished. But not Death By Firing Squad. If she is found guilty send her back to Aus. PLEASE
Why is Chappelle corby on trial at all! She is a victim. After the recent incident at Melb airport with the Camels head costume. The government should be ordering an investigation in to the baggage handlers. We now know that we are all at risk when we send our luggage down that conveyor.
I acknowledge that there exists a case for detaining Ms Corby - drugs were found in a bag belonging to her.
However, the burden of proving guilt should lie with Indonesian authorities. Ms Corby has strenuously protested her innocence in an environment and system that does not seem to require proof of guilt. Presence of illicit drugs in her bag does not constitute guilt - we have already seen evidence of baggage tampering at Australian Airports.
I have been a visitor to Bali and have witnessed the corruption of law enforcement agencies. I was not impressed, and am now even less impressed. Never again will I visit Indonesia or Bali in order to spend my hard earned dollars.
I committ to opposing all future disaster relief efforts and monies offered by the Australian Government to Indonesia.
If the Indonesian judicial system has a case, then let's see some compelling evidence.
Please treat Ms Corby with respect and acknowledge that she has been put into an extremely difficult position.
Also acknowledge that logic dictates that she could not have possibly committed this act - why on earth would anyone try to transport marijuana from Australia to a country where it can be freely obtained, at a quarter of the price ?? So much for drug laws - it is well known that if you want to get stoned easily and cheaply, then go to Bali.
Hear her out, and let her go.
If only there was more we could do, than just signing a petition. This situation could happen to anyone of us, and i just hope they set her free. Good Luck Schapelle
This new plastic wrapping of luggage at airports is a great idea and i would only travel with on my luggage now its just not worth the risk. in shappelles case she risked her life, what is this world coming to?
