It is inconceivable, disgusting and barbaric in this day and age that a 'death penalty by firing squad' law exists, and that an Australian citizen
should be subjected to it. This law is out-dated,inhumane, and considering that convicted terrorist Abu Bakar Bashir has only been sentenced to two years and six months jail (with the prospect of appeal) for his proven 'conspiracy' participation in the Bali bombings that killed 183 people, in the same country, totally inconsistent and absurd that another person should face the death penalty for allegedly smuggling cannibis into the country!!

Their legal system is completely unjust, inhumane. Even if Schapelle smuggled these drugs in, which she didnt (Who smuggles weed into a place that is practicly founded on it?), a death or life sentence is completely inappropriate. You can't take a life for that person having not taken one themselves, and even then its a fine line.
The way they hold their courtrooms is completely and utterly appauling. Theres more media then sense coming out of the judges mouthes.

I saw the way Schapelle collapsed while handcuffed to another feinting woman on her way to the so called trial today.Can anyone imagine the thoughts running through her mind, with her sister in front waving her arms to clear a path to the court room.It's just ridiculous that we can't do anything for her.I really wonder if any one with any power or guts can help her at all. if she'd bashed a bloke to death with 3 of her mates she'd get 4 years in prison in Aus. like many Australian's I too have been to Bali many times! And how true is it that strange or funny events generally occur for everyone while traveling. Why is that? Such a situation I recall very well, particularly returning back to Sydney from Bali once, got home and opened my bags and many personal items missing.
I travel heaps, experienced traveler! And I still don’t know how between two international airports, whereby customers and airline security monitor our baggage that someone had time to carefully open/close my bag to take select items? It happens and it happen to Corby, our bags are open for many reasons.
Schapelle Corby, free her or give the woman a fair trial with substantial evidence, beyond a shadow of a doubt! Isn’t that how it goes?
The situation just sucks! And so does the way the Indonesia Govt operate their courts. All the good the country has shared with me for many years is gone! I am now scared of their country...

Indonesia let Schapelle come home, we are a humane country, that stands up for the right of life and justic,and most of all we stand together, and will not forget injustice handed down apon us, the loss of respect for your laws will reflect on your so called intelligence.

I can not understand how they would think that Schapelle would be able to make money on the drugs when their street value is soooo much more here in Australia or even in America. In reflection, I am not convinced that you actually have a stance on the issue and believe one way or another - It appears that you are totally indifferent. At present, if Ms Corby is found Guilty with a punishment of death by firing squad the public is not at all convinced that you are planning on standing up and saying something.

As soon as the sentence is given, The Australian Government can apply for different options available under the Bilateral Cooperation Agreement, which deals with irregular people movement and transnational crime, including drug trafficking and organised people smuggling . It also cover a wide range of issues, including extradition. This was put in place between Australia and Indonesia in 2001. Why is it that the Australian people do not know this or have not been recently reminded? This is nothing short of detrimental to your status as PM. Why is the Indonesian Government so deliberately corrupt? It seems that if it was one of their own it would have been a different story they would have released them with out much question as they did with that poor excuse for a person Ba'asyir, who only served 2.5 years for killing nearly 200 hundred people. For the severity of that crime it was only a slap on the wrist, but for Schapelle Corby even though there is so much doubt of her guilt, their so called justice system persists with this fascade of guilty.
