Firstly, let me say that I do not have any doubt in my mind about Schapell’s innocence. All the facts amount to her being caught up in something she shouldn’t be a part of. Secondly, if in fact someone was in Bali caught with possession, whether or not they we native to that country or a visitor, surely death shouldn’t be the answer. I am not of that culture and therefore I cannot attempt to understand the justification behind it. I presume it has to do with the government wanting to keep Bali safe from drugs, but what is this achieving. Rather than rehabilitation and preservation of life, the death penalty by inhumane means of a firing squad (not that any other means are justified) is just a tactic to make the problem ‘go away’ Schapell shouldn’t be the scapegoat in all this.
I think the whole situation is very upsetting, and it saddens me to think this can happen to someone innocent who is going on a relaxing holiday. Free Schapella corby!

There has been no evidence to say that the drugs DID belong to Schapelle therefore how can anyone in any country in the world find this lady guilty. Beats me how some people can sleep at night including the person who planted the drugs.
I think that the Australian people would like an explanation as to What John Howard has done to help her. I was in the 2002 Bali Bombing and the Australian government could not do enough for us at the time. The help all victims received made us proud to be an Australian. But now I feel it was a good political pawn for the government at the time. Want an explanation from the Balinese Government on there thoughts of Tourism and the effect on there people, Abu Baskir getting away with blue murder and the Bali bombers sentencing. The action against Ms Corby is a travesty of justice. Logic should prevail, the price of marijuana in Indonesia is about one quayer of the price in Australia. To even contemplate the death penalty is a discusting and barbaric action of a country that is without reason or conscience.
