I have recently visited Schapelle in jail and went to the trial over the last 3 weeks, she is living a nightmare and the scariest thing is that it could happen to anyone.

Such a shame that the authorities dont put as much effort into finding the real culprits as they have prosecuting an innocent woman

Karen Brown said 04/16/05, 1:27 pm (verified)
It will be a crime against humanity if Ms Corby is executed by a firing squad. If anyone ever innocent this women is. Something tells me (I don't know where its coming from) that shes innocent. I also think the Australian Government should intervene and stop aid to this country because that is just about as cruel as what they are doing to her.

Let the poor girl go home. If she is guilty then she should at least be trialed in Aus. I believe she is innocent. Everyone in the world knows what the laws there are like concerning drugs and for the value that it sells for there it just doesnt seem like anyone specially her would be stupid enough to do that. Id break you out myself if i could Schapella.

Ms.Corby is an Australian citizen and for that reason should be trialled in accordence to our rules and regulations. it is our duty as Australians to make sure that one of our own has the opportunity to be trialled fairly and without prejudice.Mr. Howard, you have the responsibility to make sure that Ms.Corby is sent home unharmed.the nation is watching and waiting for you to make your move as our country's leader and representative of all Australians. Capital punishment is not permitted in Australia so why are you allowing it to be considered in Corby's sentence? this is unforgiveable!! Set her free and end this horrible nightmare. S&B Ferreira

There's no doubt in my mind that Schapelle is innocent. If she is put to death, the Indonesian and Australian governments can hang their heads in shame. Even if Schapelle was guilty, which she isn't, she doesn't deserve to be put to death by firing squad. Come on, Australian government, do a bit more to intervene in the horror that Schapelle is going through.

It seems your respect for australians is very poor,Its time australians say enough is enough.no more tsunami aid,no more tourists,no more australians sent there to help them when something happens, and when we get those illegal boat people arriving on our shores and those illegal fishing boats in our waters, sink em...

Let's face it fellas, if it was a bloke up there, even a young fella, we wouldn't be so disturbed about this. But that's ok, and it's how it should be. To do this to a woman, you show something about the state of your mind. I gotta admit, I'm angry seeing this. Schappelle - treated so disgustingly, you are undeserving of that in every way. It hurts more to see a woman going through something this wrong, this disgusting and hurtful. This will not be forgotten, Indonesia. You have pretty much no real evidence - simple presence of a bag in a passenger's bag, and disguised in such and unsophisticated manner at that, means zilch, nothing at all. And especially when a tonne of other evidence points to a Brisbane-Sydney drug smuggling operation gone shockingly wrong. The world is hopeless at dealing with unique cases, so inflexible, so narrow-minded. We must fight for justice. The mooseman baggage handler is actually a true hero for putting his job on the line to prove a point - it's so easy to tamper with luggage en route. I'd employ him anytime (if he promised not to demo it again). What a breakdown of things. What a shocking outcome to a series of mistakes, NONE of which actually involved poor Ms Corby, god bless her poor girl. So many people are so culpable, but she takes all the rap for them. I don't even know how an airline can get away with transporting that much hash internationally, or Australian Customs for that matter. Where's their investigation and trial? They are the true culprits, they and their baggage handlers/ smugglers. Yet life goes on so merrily for them at Corby's expense. Fuck Them. Fuck Customs, Fuck QANTAS, Fuck Aussie Govt, Fuck Indo. Free Corby.

Come on, let's get real. This could happen to any one of us. Its simply nopt right. There's not enough fact for her to be convicted beyond reasonable doubt.

Please release her, isn't it obvious that she is not guilty? There are so many inconsistencies in the Indonesian states' case against her that if she were being tried in Australia, the hearing would have been well and truly over by now. The thought of the death penalty sends shivers down my spine, and the thought of death by firing squad makes me sick. Surely this qualifies as "cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment" under the UN UDHR? This poor girls most BASIC and fundamental human rights are being ignored. And it's not just Chapelle that is a victim of this ridiculous 'justice' system. Indonesians that are innocent but are not rich enough to pay their way out of jail are also suffering. This has got to stop. FREE CHAPELLE or atleast send her home to be tried in a court that offers due process under a fair and impartial judge. My thoughts are with you :)

Schapella is innocent. No doubt. The world community banding together, ceasing trade and political links and signing petitions such as this will place the right amount of pressure on the Indonesian govt. Sadly the human aspect will not be considered but the threat of global ostracism may just do the job.
