It makes me sick how the Indeonesian Justice system can treat Schapelle how they already have and also think of executing her over dope and yet they sentence the mastermind of such a despicable act as the Sari Club bombing to only 2 and a half yrs prison - GO FIGURE!

Tamika Goss said 04/18/05, 4:59 am (verified)
Bali won't give Schapelle the death sentence as it will effect its tourism industry too greatly. The people over there will starve. Schapelle will probably get a sentence but I don't think shes guilty, because what kind of idiot drug smuggler would try to smuggle drugs in an unlocked boogie board bag. Its unjust. Our Government should be trying to do more. Can't wait to have her home, safe and sound.

What sort of animals are these people. They'll give a MURDERER like the Bali bomber 2 years for killing people but want to shoot an innocent young lady who has committed no crime. As someone else said, why bother trying to smuggle marijuana into Bali, the place is seething with it anyway and it just makes no sense. They have botched the whole affair from the word go and are now too afraid of international embaressment to admit they were wrong and let an innocent person go free. I hope this whole affair makes people think twice about going to Bali. Go somehwere else where they treat people like people not like animals. I for one will NEVER set foot on their soil.

Please remind us of punishment to those responsible for bali bombing? We have lost too many Australian lives there already!! Really great for Indonesian tourism hey? Good luck Schapelle, i hope the australian government assists you as much as they have helped the people of Indonesia. Every life is precious. Maybe if they found a bomb on you, they would be alot more kinder! Please give her a break, allow her to come home!!

The system over thre is so corrupt. I know I have been in a bribe with a customs so called officer over a bottle of gin. Which he nicely put our money in his pocket and we went on our way. Australia will black ban Bali if she is convicted. How will the poor Balinese people survive then. They are only just recovering from the bomb and the tsunami. She is so innocent send her home and Australia do more about the corruption we have at our Airlines.

Why smuggle dope into Indonesia, it's full of it anyway, cheap in Bali and abundant in places like Jakarta, it's just another means of hitting the Westerners, I would suggest that John Howard reconsiders his aid package to a country that is totally corrupt from the top down, however, should Shapella be guilty, and only she knows that, she knows the laws in that country, and should take the punishment, if she is not, she should be released and compensated, but, with a corrupt government run by corrupt people, she will have no chance

I would like to say that I am disgusted and appalled at the lack of support Australia is offering for one its children. No mater what the crime, Schapelle Corby is an Australian citizen. To begin, it is not her fault she was brought up in a country that is lenient towards the topic marijuana, in Australia we are even allowed to grow 12 plants in the state of South Australia. Growing up in this country we are taught that marijuana is only a slap on the rist if found with possession, we are all aware of our standing and education on this plant. So how de we as a country sit back and allow one of our children be subjected to such horrific actions and facing such disturbing end. Not only are we allowing this to happen, but we are giving these murderers millions of our tax paying dollars in support of there own disasters. I do understand that the topic is drugs and I am aware that this subject is taboo but we need to all realize that this poor girl may just be innocent and one day this could be any one of us who is traveling around the world. How can anyone now feel safe as an Australian citizen in other countries, when in a time of need your country Australia is not there for you? If Schapelle Corby was American would this be a different story? would the Government then send its troops to sort out the problem ?. Because in America’s time of need we sent all we had to protect the American life and dollar but when it comes to looking after our own the government decides to ignore the situation. We need to get together as a country and do what we have to bring our girl home, we pay taxes for our military to look after us in that time of need, well at the moment an Australian is in need, guilty or not guilty is not the issue it’s a matter of another dead Australian in Indonesia. Have they not killed enough of us? As the media you have all the power to make a difference on how the government will suppor
