It is beyond ridulous that our government will do nothing to help one of their own. I am also writing to various Australian government departments to protest on behalf of this innocent woman. FREE SCHAPELLE !!!!!
JUDGING BY MEDIA REPORTS SHE IS EITHER INNOCENT,NAIEVE OR STUPID,AND I DON'T BELIEVE SHE IS NAIEVE OR STUPID.
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHY MR HOWARD IS CONTENT TO HANG HER OUT TO DRY WHEN HE WENT IN TO BAT FOR THE GUY THAT ADMITTED SMUGGLEING HEROIN TO RAISE MONEY FOR A FAMILY CRISIS AND GOT THE CHARGES MITTIGATED.
Australia needs to stop financially assisting a country that is as corrupt as this! Have the Indonesian Government ever heard of the saying 'don't bite the hand that feeds you'? And to Schapella and her family...I am so sorry that you have fallen victim to the corrupt Indonesian Government and I just hope that there is a just outcome.
The Australian Government's lack of action is nothing short of abhorrent. I urge all Australians to boycott Indonesia and hound the Australian Government until Schapelle is released.
Its amazing how Australians can get behind and support our sportspeople and the Tsunami but why won't you get off your backsides and help out this poor girl, guilty or not she does not deserve the treatment she is receiving, and if someone can get out of our country after going through two airports both Brisbane and Sydney how good is our security, I thought this was tightened up after Sept 11, if you can't even get on a plane with a set of nail clippers how could you get on board with 4 kilos of drugs. I urge the Australian government to get off their behinds and do something worthwhile for a fellow Australian. Its unjust and unfair
My daughter did the beauty course with Schapelle and got to know her very well. She used to babysit our grand daughter and no way would my daughter have let her if she thought she had anything to do with drugs. In November I travelled to New Zealand to visit a sick friend and put a padlock on my suitcase before I left Brisbane. When I arrived at my friends house and went to unpack the padlock had gone. When checking in at the airport coming home I asked at the checkin about this and was told the customs have the right to take the padlocks off if they decide to. In this case why bother locking your suitcases and saying you packed these if they can open them without you being present.
Please keep up your petitions to free Schapelle.
She has to have been set up by a custom official after promotion or Kudos for a bust.
Why take drugs to Indo? Cheaper and more abundant there.
Why take so much unconcealed?
Why woul she say "....Its mine...I own it."
hey, if the girl's guilty, why not present some goddamn evidence to build a stronger case rather than refuse any further investigation? This whole thing is crap and Indonesia should not have received a cent from the Aus government after the tsunami unless they agreed to release this poor innocent girl without charge. Not that it's relevant anyway, it's marijuana for god's sake, since when it that a crime worthy of death by firing squad? Let's have some perspective here, okay?
Free Schapella...Screw the Indonesion government, they are all corupt.
I know of ppl who have been to Indonesia and have had police throw cannibas at them and sen them up...the police then continue to bribe these poor people, asking for money. What has become of the world when this is happening. We as Australians give so much support to your country and this is what we get in return. FREE SCHAPELLA CORBY
Dear Schepple,
Cheryle, I and others love you deeply and we all wish you were our daughter.
You have managed a situation not of your own making with courage and humility.
Love will make you great.
I have written to both the OZ and Indonesian government and await a response.(No surprise there - but I am working on it - please understand that.)
You will never be alone. That's our promise.
If I were to point to a magnificent person in adversity I would point to you as a extraordinary role model of perfection (especially for young women).
Stay strong - we all believe in you.
Peter, Cheryle, Viviane, Jacki, Bich,
Rosalind, Maria and so many others.
We expect to see you home soon.
We sign off with much love and the greatest of respect for your decency and we will always be touch, because you have touched us – profoundly.
I hurt for schapelle only visited bali not long ago, poor girl, please free her this is inhumane. Australia government were are you? Help this woman before her life is ruined anymore from an innocent holiday. It is sad that a country so lacking in tourism since what has happened with not only bali bombings but also the recent tsunami can evidently ignore the callings for freedom from the people who visit there to help return its economic stability. Very Sad. Schapelle Honey Be brave you are in our thoughts.
There is no logical reason to see an otherwise innocent person executed for transporting "plants". Indonesia has yet to control human-rights violations and yet you focus on a crime that will not endanger a single life, let alone end one, and as punishment you support death?!?!?
This is an unexceptable punishment for a less than criminal crime.
Try supporting drug reform, and rehabilitation instead of human injustice.
"When it is your time to meet your god, you will see the error of your way."
Schapelle is innocent; the indonesian police lust for a hanging at any cost. The Australian government is guilty of murder is Schapelle comes to harm; this doesnt seem to worry john howard who kills his own countrypeople just to stay in office.
what is the bali?
is this a human-zoo?
We people in Europe knowd this is a beatiful island with frienly men, but now we know what is back the smiling, now we know who live in Bali! This is an island with a lots of barbar men.
Used to we love this island but now we would like another tsunami for killer island. We are very very sad and mostly we are angry.
there is no hard proof she did anything?!and its only pot not heroin whats wrong wih Aust govt they got the millionare yachtsman off gunsmuggling charges !!! wish you the best of luck
This is just disgusting. She shouldnt be imprisoned for life for possessing a bit of weed FFS... look at all the paedophiles who only get 5years 4f*ckin up a childs life!!!
As for the firing squad, get with it ppl... its the 21st f*ckin century. this is disgusting!!
Free this woman NOW!!
TO HELL WITH INDONESIA AND SINGAPURE, THAILAND, USA, etc....
The God will come back and he's the death penalty.
You go with Heaven-travel, and do not go to dark indonesia.
If you help Indonesia, you help a corrupt state who want to kill a poor girl. I'm not interested in she is innocent or not, but I think she is innocent, but this is the law: DON'T KILL - this is the important law.
Indonesia!-want you penalty? We can give you penalty and we don't forget this event until people live in the world. BOYCOTT, BOYCOTT, BOYCOTT
Indoesian Law are so prehistoric and Barbaric are because they are cavemens that still chiselled their law on pieces of flat rocks. They are Bunch of DUMBASSES APES.
INDONESIAN GOVERNMENT ARE BARBARIANS..SO BARBARIC. EVERYONE IN THE WORLD..PLS DO NOT GIVE MORE MONEY TO INDONESIA FOR THE TSUNAMI.. SEE HOW THEY FEEL ABOUT THAT WHEN THE WORLD STOP HELPING THEM. BECAUSE OF THEIR GOVERNMENT ARE SO FUCKED UP, ITS PEOPLE SUFFER. FUCK INDONESIAN GOVERNMENT.
Indonesia.. The reason you guys get Tsunami is because God cursed on you for killing another humanbeing. I read that Indonesia is a muslim country and in muslim religion killing will send all of you Indoesians to HELL.
We don't go to Indonesia until they don't respect human life. No more travelling these countries. Don't buy indonesian products, don't give your money for killers, couse they're killers who wearing uniforms
BOYCOTT INDONESIA
(Amnesty Universum, anthonytatar@chello.hu)
Those officials in indonesia must be total fools, why would anyone take marijuana to indonesia where it's value is a fraction of it's cost in australia, free Corby and change your death penalty laws, only then will I consider another trip to Bali.
She deserves a fair trial which she doesn't seem to be getting at the moment. Also, even if she is guilty, there is no way that the death penalty is a fair punishment for marijuana posession. We are neighbouring countries and Australia has done a lot to help the Indonesian's especially after the tsunami disaster. The Indonesian government should respect this and treat our citizens accordingly.
GO down on skid row in Bali and find some troll to let them serve this woman's sentence. So many get by with so much and sometimes the innocent pay for others sins. Wrong, dead wrong. I am united in not spending any money with any Indonesian merchants, products and certainly not traveling there ever ..... unless redical changes are made.
The australian government need to intervene immediately... this girl is innocent...if as much time and effort were put into this case as the disgusting situation in iraq and related pow camps then this case would not even be any issue. every minute that goes by means that schapelle is imprisoned under atocious conditions not ^ an injustice is happening and australian government authorities need to act NOW
No matter whether she might be guilty or not, this girl does not get a fair trial.
And *everyone* should get a fair trial, no matter where they are from and where they are charged.
I certainly hope that she is released, I would quite like to ask her out some time... quite a beautiful young lady, cannot have her wasting away in a foreign gaol
this is not right, even if she is guilty (which i don't believe is) she should be returned to her home country for prosecution....
corruption in its most pathetic form.
No one in their right mind would try and smuggle 4kg of pot inside a boogie-board cover. Seriously, it is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Of course she's innocent.
I don't believe that she is guilty, but even if she was this is MUCH to harsh of a punishment. I understand treating your fellow countrymen this way, but a foreigner? Rediculous. I will NEVER visit Bali if this woman is unfairly punished. Until she is released I will also not purchase any items made in Indonesia.
This is my sister as you are my sisters and brothers and the poor people of Indonesia are mybrothers and sisters, which I demonstrated by sending them all my weeks wages as a poor person living in UK.
We are the cannon fodder, the downtrodden and the people of Indonesia are as guiltless as I am. I will boycott Indonesia and offer no more help to it's people for which I aologise but can do nothing else in the light of this injustice by it's government.
How on earth could this be a case. There has been no proper investigation, no finger prints, no pursuing of CCTV recordings, in fact the prosecution has resisted all efforts by the defense to do so. I was looking at going to Bali this July but there is no way I'm going near the place now and neither will a massive load of other Australians.
