cutting is WRONG & SICK! if you are depressed the network of heath in virgina should give people who can't afford to pay for rehab should give it to people who cut therselfs!

while i recognize depression as a very serious disease, and i know that cutting is a way some people (girls mostly) deal with their emotion pain, i think these people need to fix their own lives, not necessarily spend tax dollars fixing it... i suffered from major depression, i was out of commission for 4 whole months, i never cut myself once, IMO dumb girls who have no stree cooping skills are the main people who cut, and many idiots cut for attention...

I've cut myself before in a suicide attempt. I woke up half an hour later in a pool of my own blood on the bathroom floor. Therefore, I know what's it's like, but it's a very destructive thing to do. Anyone reading this, there are other ways. Talk to someone, anyone, parents friends, teachers, there are hotlines you can call. And for you insensitive assholes that say we're weak, you just don't understand unless you've been there.

Im a cutter i have been for 7 years now im 20 now cutting is not something we do for attention it is something we do to deal with our pain its like drugs or drinking it is a addiction and a desease we cant help it just like any other addict its something we do without thinking so before you judge us or tell us what we do is wrong walk a mile in our shoes i bet you couldnt make it withouth turning to a blade!!!

OKAY excuse me let me educate yall for a moment I am a cutter and no its not only for depression nor is it a sign of weakness cutting is like a drug its addictive it helps us it soothes us and in that split second that the blood seeps through the veins and the feeling that the pain brings its total harmony were so numb that none of it matters and yes we do cut over depression in some cases but depression is not something we can control nor should we be locked up in some rehab where all they want to do is give us pill after pill after pill like its really going to help yall cant understand how we feel or how we think and if yall want to be so narrow minded go right ahead but at least do some research for once ya know yall dont know everything as well as yalls own opinion isnt the only one that matters!!!

I support this petition. Cutting not only hurts u but it hurts everyone around u. The scars u make are the scars of their lives. Then they start cutting and u wondr why.
