ok, for 1, global warming isn't happening, check something other than the news media people! and secondly, most of our oxygen comes from the algae in the oceans. i'm not for cutting down every tree, but they can be a cheap and effective way to heat your home. and we're always planting more trees for the animals to live in. besides, if you cut down one tree with a disease, it doesn't spread to the rest, making a whole yard of diseased trees. =)

Trees are one of the most important things to us humans and every living creature on this planet.Trees produce oxygen that we need (DUH) and trees take in carbon dioxide that is harmful to us. And the less trees we have the more carbon dioxide there will be and that causes global warming. 1. The world's rainforests are currently disappearing at a rate of 6000 acres every hour (this is about 4000 football fields per hour). We seriously need to learn how to manage the clear-cutting stuff.
We may never be able to compensate for the destruction of the rain forest in South America. We can also come up with better building materials. Let's not forget about the millions of pine trees in our homes every Christmas. Sure these are farmed, but again, we will never be able to compensate for the losses thus far. Global warming is a "fact" and I don't see anything being done to slow it down.
