As opponents of discrimination, we note that Northern nationalists whose daily newspaper of choice is Daily Ireland, are being denied access to information about employment opportunities due to the British Government refusal to place recruitment advertising in this newspaper.
This ban on recruitment advertising discriminates against the nationalist community at a time when nationalists are twice as likely to be unemployed as unionists.
This policy is in direct contravention of equality legislation and betrays the promise of a new era of fair play for all promised in the Good Friday Agreement.
We call on the British Government to ensure a level playing field for all by immediately placing recruitment advertising in Daily Ireland.

Protest direct to British Government demanding this ban be overturned at:

British Governments refusal to put job opportunities into the Daily Ireland can only be put down to their fear that the paper will grow to outstrip other national papers - their answer to fear is to ban and exclude.
