It's a step in the right direction to replace the incumbent comedian at the White House. Jon speaks better English anyway. (Disclaimer: I live outside America)
This only makes sense from Comedy Central's POV. Not only will expanding The Daily Show increase the overall quality of programming I believe it would be very profitable. Especially with the promotion of products like America The Book. Establishing John Stewart as one of the preeminent voices in the media should be a priority from an otherwise mediocre network(apologies to Chappelle and South Park). Isn't there some air time we could take away from Wanda Sykes? She annoys the hell out of me.
There is no such thing as too much of a good thing when it comes to the "Daily Show". We are addicted...

The bittersweet irony of our cultural lives is reflected in the fact that this "comedy" show in fact is far more informative than the reflexive pablum that beholden media shovels into us.
There is 175,000 of us each year who are addicted to Jon and our Bongs. No, I am for real, hempfest.org, we love the Daily Show.
Who did you think those "stoned slackers" are? Hell, only one hour??
It would be a service to our nation and the world to extend the fake news that tells the truth (?).
Jon Stewart is a courageous and brilliant asset to all sane and rational human beings.
Please oh please oh please oh please oh PLEASE make this happen! Jon Stewart is to America what Ben Franklin was to...well..America! But only a long time ago.
Jon Stewart's method is hilarious, being both satirical and educational simultaneously. It is not "fake news" all the time, per se, but often news plus humorous commentary. There is much to be said in each episode, and I am sure that an hour could be made of each without any element of blandness. Go Stewart!
60 min of The Daily Show would rock!!! If not a daily hour-long show, perhaps a weekly hour-long wrap-up sort of show in a Meet the Fake Press sort of format.
I use to watch this show every evening befor bed, but now I have a 7 month old baby girl and watch the reruns the next day. Thanks Jon Stewart for the real news!
This show could be the most insightful, if not just the only insightful show on television. Bravery in a televised format is so rare and this show deserves to spread its message everyday for an hour...minus commercial breaks.
I watch The Daily Show every Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thurs. Sometimes I watch the re-run of the show during day. Please make my wildest dreams come true and make The Daily Show an hour long.
I think that the Daily Show should be 1.5 hrs. long. John Stewart is not only hilarious, but he reports the news in a light that every one else is too scared to turn on.
