i saw the ad for this petition in a lacal paper and id love for the show to be an hour, maby you should go to more papers and put more ads out obout this petition ,theres a lot of people that would sing this im sure of it
Ironic isn't it? THe Daily Show is sardonic wit inc. and Jon Stewart is Supremo, Numero Uno comedian with an edgy bite of reality carefully mixed, much better than Letterman and Leno.
In fact,his take on news of the day is more enlightening than all those maggots at Fox,CNN,NBC,CBS,and ABC!

I understand that TV programming logistics can be quite complicated and who knows if extending the show to an hour might harm the comedy but who cares? Bring it on Comedy Central!
Sounds good to me. Why not try it? Program not really an hour, any way: probably 35 minutes with all of the advertisements and other interruptions. Longer interviews would also be beneficial. But making the show an hour is really depends on what Jon Stewart wants. It is his show...
I just love Jon, his wit, humor and compassion. Shamefully, our nation has to resort to the Daily Show for truthful s and honest news. What does that say about us? Obviously, mainstream media was a major factor in how we've gotten to this place where we've allowed this corruption that promotes tax cuts for the rich, adores the fetus and ignores the child, gays marrying: an abomination but torture is okie dokie. We don't demand accountability from gov't but call ourselves patriots and hang out our flags. We don't protest for fear of our own leaders retribution. Jon's way of handling it is also my way and yes, I support an hour of programming but not without all of us getting off our collective bums and supporting him! Otherwise, it's just more entertainment. Let's prop up those we want to lead, to inform and to guide and kick the legs out from under of those we don't. Write the networks and demand more facts and less opinion, less hollywood and no propaganda, ever!
I,m 59 years old & watch the daily show everyday since George Bush won the last presidential election. This is one of the few news programs left on television that is not pro patriot. I laugh everyday & boy do I need a laugh. Humor has been scientifically proven to cure depression!!!!! A second bush presidency is definally a reason to be depress. War mongering can & will do that to the populance.
This fake news show is the glue for my sanity. I mean this...I am 79 years old and am appalled at the main stream media
and the self

There is just too much fodder out there for the show to be limiting itself to 30 (22) minutes. An hour long show would allow for better coverage without sacraficing face time for the nightly guests.
t.v's so dumb these days... give the daily show an hour and have dave chapelle as rick james be the ed mcman, or whatever that guy's name is who sends me checks. and more sedaris... which ever one you like. and pyrotechnics.
