I'm scared that in the face of this loss, the dems will try to out-Christian the conservatives. This would be a huge mistake! We need to go after the "neo-cons" and expose them as radicals....I believe HD would do this.
We are in desperate need of immediate change, from top to Bexar County. What have we got to lose; we already have, to those who claim 'moral values' while in bed with the grand thieves of Colorado Savings, ENRON, The Royal Saudi family who continue to rape their country, to the Kuwaiti crooked Emirates, to the Bin Laden family, and to the scum of the earth, Karl 'Adolf' Rove.
Shame on the religious 'leaders'who abused the sanctity of the pulpit to intimade parishioners into voting for a cold-blooded leader named Bush, who lies about being FOR ABORTION and hides behind State leaders, and who is responsible for thousands deaths, from the time he became Texas Governor, to present.... and counting.
We need a DNC chairman who is connected to the grassroots. Gov. Dean has proven himself capable of inspiring an army of grassroot volunteers of all ages and democratic persuasions by his common sense, plain talk and insight.
I worked hard for Dean's campaign in the South and I know many others who did too. Dean is likeable, full of fire, and just the man we need to fire up the DNC.
This is a great idea. it would be refreshing to have someone in the Democratic leadership that doesn't run from the word "Liberal" as though it was a disease. Calling Liberals progressive is cowardly and plays into the Republicans hands. By the way, I'm a very disappointed registered Republican who will soon register as a Democrat. I'm ashamed of what the Republican Party has become. I voted for Kerry and contributed generously to the campaign in both money and time. If elected DNC chairman, Deans first item on the agenda would be to FIRE SCHRUM (don't know how to spell the name but he single handedly lost this election for us). Send him to Siberia. Thanks for listening, if you did. Ron Griffeth
I'm a llifelong democrat and I think our party desperately needs Gov Dean in a leadership position. He speaks for many of us who have felt that our voices aren't heard in the general elections.
After the 2000 election, and after Democratic Party presidential candidate Al Gore practically disappeared when we most needed a leader, Howard Dean stepped into the vacuum and began to talk about what needed talking about: A wrong war, fiscal irresponsibiliy, questionable morals involving both, as well as how the Democratic Party should address all of it. Yes, he failed to take on the messianic status of a presidential candidate himself, but along the way he proved to be a valuable leader and fundraiser for the Democratic Party. I believe Howard Dean is the right man to guide the machinery and the strategy of the DNC for the next four years.
I definitely support Howard dean as DNC chairperson. We need someone who is willing to speak out-especially about health care-a universal single payer system!
Dean had the right idea from the beginning. It is the fear the Bush Administration had cast over the country that had painted the map red. This would never have happened if the fear wasn't spread. It is not a call for morality.
I converted to democrat from republican registration so I could work for Dean. He has been the only democrat who could look past today to frame a platform with real substance.
Howard Dean knows what it takes to TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK. No other Democrat has the guts and the convicton to take our party back to the glory days when we were a party of inclusion, not exclusion, when we cared about the next guy, and peace and freedom were the mantra for the day. Elect Howard Dean Chairman of the DNC and let our party find its soul again.
Respectfully,
Sally Pina
We need Dean. He will not let the GOP off the hook and he will fight for and establish a clear set of moral values that we can take to the American people while sticking it to the Non-Christian evangelicals on the right.
DR. DEAN STARTED THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY OFF IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION THIS ELECTION CYCLE, THEN WE FOLDED AND TRIED THE FAILED "REPUBLICAN LIGHT" APPROACH. LET'S REMAIN TRUE TO OUR FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES AND SEE HOW WELL WE FARE THEN. WE NEED HOWARD DEAN!
Dean would give the party fresh leadership, a new attitude, and a pipeline to the party's grass roots. All of which add up to the best reason of all for him to get the job--the GOP is geniunely afraid of him!
This party has just been whomped in an election managed by the usual players. Howard Dean is a brilliant speaker, who thinks quickly on his feet, and has the ability to inspire people as well as persaude. He is also sure and strong while those like Ickes and Brazile are not. She speaks in a montone and we need more than organizational skill, Ickes is a ghost and won't do as a front person and while he is backed by the Clintons, they are also the ones who backed Terry McAuliffe who was dreadful The people of this party are no longer going to accept leaders who are less than adequate and don't stqand up for them and their beliefs. We've had enough of those failures.
This man was my first choice for his courage to speak out, And we need a leader who will speak to all of the other Americans who are afraid of changing there minds.
