We need Howard Dean with his clear progressive message and direct way of speaking to revamp our destroyed party. This is urgent business folks, we need an overhaul but quick!
Howard Dean is honest, energetic, and would revitalize the democratic party's base. He could potentially encourage unity and cooperation between warring factions in the party.
Mr. Dean,
You have been one of our most clear-headed, forceful, and plain-speaking voices for change in our country. It's not about picking a liberal, moderate or conservative Democrat as our new leader. It's about picking someone who can articulate what Democrats stand for. Please consider running for the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee!
Sincerely,
Tony Kavanagh
Go Mr. Dean! If ever we needed a leader, it was NOW. IF ever a person has shown they can lead in troubled times, it has been YOU! You are our last vestage of relief from the radical right!! GO! Go! GO!
I've been asking for McAuliffe's resignation since the summer of '03, because I made a donation to the DNC and within seconds the Kerry campaign emailed me requesting a donation. I saw the writing on the wall at that time.
It is now time and I think Howard Dean could turn the DNC into an organization that we'd be proud of joining.
I have been a Democrat since 1956. After having seen them come and go I can confidently tell you that Howard Dean is the man to save our party. He is a proven administrator, articulate, discerning intrepid and honorable. He will bring extensive energy and vision to the task of rebuilding our party to forcefully represent the interests of the working class American voter.
Terry McAluff (spel?) is a truly corrupt machine politico who worked with Kerry to steal the nomination from Dean in Iowa. Dean running the DNC would be poetic justice, but would absolute power corrupt absolutely? willing to take the chance, Give 'Em Hell, Howie!
This is a critical step towards a forward moving, progessive American Society. Where do we want to be as a political party and as a country, it's up to us...and Howard Dean!!!!! Let's do it and go after the dividers!!!
Because we have no real spokesperson Howard Dean is the only person who has inspired the Democrats. He must be put in a leadership position to articulate our beliefs.
Dean will do more good as DNC chairman. As chairman, he can virtually hand-pick our next presidential candidate and candidates across the country. This will be the best thing to happen to the party since the New Deal.
We need the real energy and passion Dean showed before and after his campaign. Passion for what one believes cannot and should not be sanitized or hidden to appease those fearful of spontaneous human reactions.
Dean's message needs to be seriously addressed by the DNC. I was a Republican for 31 years and changed by party to vote for Dean. If the Democrats cannot get their act together than it's time we consider a third party in this country!
Finally, someone with real convictions who will not buckle under the pressure of the Beltway. A man who will guide us back to the real values of the Democratic Party, thus encouraging all those who did not vote this time because they believe "that the two major parties are the same anyway," to become involved once again. Thank you Governor Dean for your never ending efforts to unite us.
Sure. Why not? Especially since Gov. Dean's touching the pulse of America & coming literally out of nowhere in the preprimary days wound-up scaring the hell out of the many Republicans in Democrat clothing that are lurking aboput the DNC. Gov. Dean had them soooooo worried that they had to result to all of the gang-up, cheap-jack tactics that we all saw last December & January. Go Howard GO!
Dean is the one! He knows that the only way to go is to energize the base and organize the youth. The democratic party is not only right; it is proud, populist and strong. We can no longer allow the right to define us or marginalize our values. We need a champion who does not waiver. I believe that if the party had stuck behind Dean for president, we wouldn't have Bush in office today.
we desperately need the democrats to start acting like democrats again instead of like republicans or democrats pandering to republicans.
this country is in a scary and shameful state!
