I want Howard Dean and Donna Brazile to be equal co-chairpersons of the DNC. No DLC need apply.
Remember 56 million people voted for the"number one liberal in the Senate." We have a great progressive movement and we can't let any Republican tell you otherwise.
If Howard Dean hadn't run, we wouldn't have volunteered (for him and Sen. Kerry) and the Democratic Party would be dead. Let's stand for something again! Fiscal responsibility and social progress are a good starting point.
Definitely Dean! We also need to get rid of the DLC! The Democratic Party in general and members in particular need to stop apologizing for being Liberal and espousing policies that work toward social, economic, and environmental justice. We need to begin to define our platform NOW; not wait four years. Most importantly, we must be unequivocally committed to that platform to the benefit of ALL Americans.
We need the Doctor's energy and ideas. He's the one who mobilized the party. We need that and we need to get the 2004 elections scrutinized and ALL subsequent elections standardized and scrutinized.
At this point, it is more important to be true to our values than to be in the "center". The "center" is actually fairly close to the right edge of the table now. Dean can lead us to where we really want to be - unapologetic progressives
Howard Dean is what will save the Democratic Party, and/or at least bring forth the obvious needed changes. He would've definatly been our candiate if not for what happened, and I beilieve he could've won this election. America: It's time for a check-up.
The Good Doctor has single-andedly resuscitated this party, and with no help, I might add, from party regulars. Dems would be lucky to have him. As a died-in-the-wool Deaniac, I promise to take my passion, my energy, and yes, my generous contributions, wherever he goes!
Dean gave backbone back to the Democratic Party. He can articulate family values and the soul of our party better than any one in recent memory. Dean understands people and can energize them with his straight talk and down-to-earth honesty.
We neeed new strong leadership and we need it now!!!!! Dean is just the ticket-he would have overcome the Dean scream and done a better job if the party had supported him!
