Howard Dean made me proud to be a Democrat again. The party needs drastic change and must return to its roots and communicate that message to every American. Dean is the man to do this. He brought together a coalition of Democrats, Independents, and others. This coalition has managed to stay together even after he lost the nomination and is still growing. He fought harder than anyone for John Kerry and rallied his very skeptical coalition to join in that support. He is the kind of leader the Democratic Party needs as Chair.

I have an issue with focusing on centrist candidates as our future. The right has been pulling the 'center of the political spectrum' further right all the time. As they proffer their radical agenda, the 'center' of the spectrum is now hovering near an Eisenhower Republican.

Kerry ran a good campaign; but the election was hijacked by GOP dirty tricks, including vote fraud. Dean is smart enough to see and avoid Rovian maneuvers, and he speaks to real Democrats, not the ones who are asking how they should become more like Republicans in order to get elected. Given the choice, it is likely that voters will choose real Republicans over fake Republicans. The Republicans have a terrible record on the economy, social programs, foreign policy, the environment -- you name it. We need people like Howard Dean to simply tell it like it is -- clearly and strongly.

I feel that strongly that Howard Dean would be able to give the strength and direction to the DNC that is needed. We need this after this pathetic election and the stronghold of the Reps. No more dragging us to the "right" just because--we need to stand for what is right for this country and we need someone who can formulate that and that person IS HOWARD DEAN.

Terry McCauliffe has failed. We see this from this years election result. His strategy did not work. I can think of no better replacement for him than Gov. Dean. If anyone can save Our Party from the miasma it is in it is Howard Dean. It is time to get back to the basic principles we all share. I support Gov. Howard Dean for Chairman of the Democratic Party. Howard Dean is the BACKBONE of today's Democratic Party. He has a way of cutting through the smoke and mirrors and getting at the heart of a matter. Dean as head of the DNC would greatly strengthen our party. He'd be perfect in this position, and I know many people who didn't support him in the Presidential sense, who would love to see Dean in this position.

Howard Dean is capable of faciliting the necessary change in our party. The support he had during the primaries was incredible, and with good reason. Dean is a very inspirational leader. His straight talking style and knowledge of the issues, in addition to his eagerness to fight for the average person in this country make him the ideal person to take back the Democratic party. He should have been President and I still hope in the future he will be.I believe in him and his message. He has a vision, a direction, a plan and a unifying effect on a disjointed and scattered party. After Dean took on the Primaries many people were awakened by his passion and truth. Many people stood up and said yeah, I am like that guy... I Am A DEMOCRAT! I know more than one who switched their affiliation from Independent to solid Democrat after that. He is the man for to unify and redefine the party. An energetic, honest man for a tough job.
