...You've tried the Dem-light way and you failed...twice..I believe there is nothing to lose, and much to win, by putting a dynamic democrat who will offer straight-talking leadership and a REAL choice...Howard Dean..My husband and I will be happy to donate should Dr. Dean get the position.

Howard Dean is the new voice of the Democratic Party. We need something with a vision, not someone who's goal is to protect counterproductive Iowa caucus (Vilsack).
It's time for the Democrats to stand up for something other than merely rubber stamp the GOP's agendas. We are the party of liberty, responsibility, and true American values. It's time we proved it.
Dr. Dean,
I've been a supporter and contributor since the MoveOn.org primaries. You're my political inspiration. I am one of the under-30s that you personally inspired to get involved and take action. Lead this party back to victory!
With a nationwide network of Democratic activists working to organize because of Howard Dean, his voice should be front and center in reworking this party that can't seem to win any elections. WE NEED A NEW VOICE.
I can't imagine anyone that would be better for the job. We do need to see and hear from you more often. You are certainly an inspiration to us. We are the Deaniac's !!!!!!!!!
Howard Dean was the first candidate in the primaries to rally true grassroots support. His ability to encourage people to become politically active is exactly what the Party needs in its Leader!
Since the election it has become apparent to me that the Democratic party needs to redefine itself and then spread that definition to the masses. Howard Dean is the man to do that!
The democratic party needs to recover its voice and stop creating its message and agenda in response to the Republicans. We need to get back in touch with what we believe (OUR VALUES--this election was about that!) and communicate what they are to the american people. The Democratic party as it stands today is completely ineffective. The way the primary was run, the fact that the party handpicked Kerry, AND the fact that Kerry didn't win is a disgrace. The democratic party does not represent me anymore. I want it to represent me again, and I think Howard Dean can work to have this happen. Thank you.
I am a Democratic Precinct Committeewoman from Prairie Village, KS. In one of the most conservative states in the nation, we saved our Demnocratic representative, Dennis Moore, from his right wing Republican opponent. He won by a margin of 10 percent. I take pride in the small part I played in this victory even as I mourn the loss of the presidency. Here is what Congressman Moore's victory told me about John Kerry's loss- it was unnecessary and avoidable.
The Democratic party needs new leadership and Dr. Dean is just the man for the job.
Dr. Dean would be a vigorous chair for the DNC. He has been an unabashed Democrat who has refused consistently topander to the Republican message. America needs a Democratic Party built on principles, not phony concepts of "electibility"..
The election of Howard Dean to the position of Chairman of the DNC would be a catalyst for welcomed change to the party's leadership. The DP needs the energy and innovative ideas that he has in order to win the next election.
Howard Dean began revitalizing the democratic party with his run for president. I, along with millions of other citizens young and old, believed his leadership could begin the process of improving our coutry. For the first time, I donated to a political campaign with hopes that my contribution could actually make a difference. If Howard Dean were to continue leading the party, there is a chance we could reach out to those who are voting Republican against their own economic interests. Howard Dean tells it like it is. His plain-spoken approach is everything the current Democrats are lacking. I am confident his leadership would bring the Democratic party back to where it should be - a party for the people.
I had written off the Democrats and reregistered Green...then along came Howard. He's the only true Democrat left out there that hasn't sold out. Fiscally conservative and socially progressive, that's about as "center" as you can get.
In the campaign I felt that Howard Dean as our only hope. In view of all that has happened I feel even more so. I'm not sure, however, that this position is the best for him. Actually, I would prefer Howard Dean to run for President in 2008 - but if he wouldn't be chairing the DNC I'm not sure that we would have a country by then.
As someone who knows both Governor Dean and Governor Vilsack personally, and who fought against Dean for the Presidential nomination, it should mean a lot that I am wholeheartedly supporting Howard Dean as DNC Chair. I wish I could say "anyone buy McAwful", but that wouldn't be enough.
Dear Delegates:
I strongly support Howard Dean for Chairman of the DNC, if he chooses to take up the charge. He invigorated thousands of Democrats, and if he had not been shot down by his own party, might very well have led us to victory earlier this month. I personally know 50 or so people that will happily work under the auspices of a Dean-headed DNC. Count me IN.
Dean is an excellent choice for DNC chairman. I think he really knows more than anyone what the true pulse of Americans more than anyone. And he is obviously tireless in fighting for what supporting a vision. I think this a perfect role for him while the democrats re-group (which is obviously necessary) over the next 2 to 6 years.
Howard Dean singlehandedly revitalized the Democratic Party in the early part of the primaries to stand up against Bush&Co. He is the man who united progressives and independents with Democrats to build a coalition capable of standing up to the conservative threat. He's one of the few men today who can set the Democratic Party on the path to re-capturing the hearts & minds of the public.
I strongly urge the DNC to appoint Howard Dean as chairman. His position is consistent, he knows how to speak firmly to the media and he is a master of getting out the message. Don't go with some run-of-the-mill moderate who plays it both ways; go with a fighter! That's what the people are longing for. The message has to be so strong and consistent that the media and the Republican tricksters can't run it over. Only Dean can give you that.
When the DLC was publicly bashing Dean at the end of 2003 or beginning of 2004, I realized that our Party has a very deep-seated, internal sickness. And as far as I can tell, that sickness continues as evidenced by our sobering losses on November 2. Therefore, I strongly urge the "Good Doctor" to take the helm of the DNC and help make our Party healthy again. The national Democratic Party Establishment needs to be replaced.
Give Dean a chance. Those of you who have not been exposed to his power to energize a crowd AND to speak with logic and experience about real issues--give him a chance, he'll energize the party!
