Please visit our new website www.deanforchair.com and find out what else you can do to return the Democratic party to the grassroots and away from the Washington insiders who want more of the same. We need to rebuild the party, and Howard Dean is the person to do it.
Governor Dean and his campaign revolutionized politics in this country from a variety of perspectives...and revolution is what it's going to take (more of) if we are going to gain some ground as a party. Working on the Dean campaign was what I believe to me the most meaningful work I have ever done. Gov. Dean's is a voice we need to move this party forward, to speak our beliefs within a story that will effectively take on the Republican wordsmithing/storytelling of late. We need a new tradition in the Democratic party and I believe Governor Dean is the one to take us there.
In his well-organized, effective efforts to get progressive Democrats elected nationwide, Howard Dean has already shown that he has the long-term vision and the organizing (and monetary) clout to transform the Party from the ground up. We must do so to save our economy, our environment, our civil liberties, and our place in the world from the dangerous aberrations of the "Christian" right that at present dominates the Republican Party. Howard Dean can get the job done.
I believe that Dr. Dean will be able to take our party into the 21st Century. We must run on a cohesive message and not just "we're not republicans". Good luck Dr. Dean.
The party needs change and Dean's the man to do it. If Bob Novack says it would be bad for us, then we should DO IT. The prediction of disaster if Dean takes over as Chairmen is being made by the people who have already lost us lots of elections.
Thanks in large part to Howard Dean's vision for America, the Democratic Party has overcome its doledrums & "look-a-like" politics to becoming a viable reasoned progressive alternative to the GOP. He also taught us how to raise LOTS of MONEY in the 21st century!
Dean's the right man for the job. He's a proven leader who knows how to stay on message and inspire. The Democratic Party needs to change. Dean's the man to do it.
As a Vermont Democrat and long-time Howard Dean supporter, I feel his political astuteness, his centrist nature, and his honesty will be key to the revival of Democratic fortunes in national politics.
Dean for DNC chariman!
I voted for him in the primaries because of his opposition to the Iraq War.
Dean takes strong stances on issues instead of trying to play centrist.
That's what the Democratic party needs to do.
We need to stop being reactionaries and start pushing ahead with a new vision.
If the Democratic Party elects an anti-choice person to head the DNC, I will leave the party and so will many of my friends that worked so very hard to support the Dems this last election. Howard Dean has what this party needs. Please appoint him to Chairman. We need to move to the LEFT , not into obscurity.
This party needs to stand up for its values, and needs to be able to articulate those values well. Howard Dean is the right man for the job -- just look at the success rate of his Dean Dozen candidates.
We do not need to move towards the right, or be more like Republicans. We need to be the opposition party.
Dean reinvigorated the party in 2003, and has kept up the good fight for all progressive candidates thoughout 2004, and should be given the helm of the DNC in 2005. Dean understands that George Lakoff is right about how we talk about programs instead of values. Make Dean Chairman now!
The democratic party needs someone with courage and vision. That person is Howard Dean. "Democrats" like Lieberman should be ashamed of themselves for painting Dean as a far left liberal. He is very moderate on most things - but he has courage. Come on democrats, it's time to take a chance on someone who can lead us in the right direction!
The Democratic party needs someone who is going to shake things up, someone who thinks out of the box and will be able to rally the troops, someone with a glavaizing peronality. Howard Dean is that person. If he is not chosen as Chairman of the DNC then this party is dead in the water.
