Howard has the guts to fight for what progressives believe in. He doesn't back down and he says what he thinks. He's a strong leader and I trust him to reform the DNC.
Howard Dean is someone that you know he believes what he says and has a record to prove it. We need someone with his common sense and vision for the Democratic Party Chair.
We trust Dean. He doesn't concede any ground to right-wing ideas. He speaks for the democrats and independents of America more than any other prominent democrat.
The Democratic Party needs to make some serious changes in order to remain relevant. Howard Dean would provide valuable energy and youthful supporters to the party.
The Democrats are following a losing strategy by continuously moving to the "center" - as the center keeps moving rightward. As a life-long Democrat I am seriously considering the Green Party. Give us someone to reinvigorate the party - Howard Dean is the man!
Howard Dean proved that grass roots activism could have an impact on the political process. He is capable, with our help, of reviving the near-defunct Democratic Party.
Howard Dean is the primary reason the Dems got ANYWHERE this election, and if he had received the Dem machine support that Kerry got, I believe he would have won the Presidential election.
I can't think of ANYONE who could do a better job! Now is the time for a leader who can truly revitalize the party - we cannot afford to take one step back or one step to the right!
Tom Vilsack or someone attached to the Clintons would take all the energy out of the democratic base. If you guys nominate Alexis or Vilsack - forget it.
He isn't as es extreme as everyone thinks. He just knows how to communicate why we stand for what we stand for. This is hwat the democrats need. A politician who can stand by his word and intice others to do the same.
This party needs a fire lit underneath it and Dean is the one to do this, as he did earlier this year. Unfortunately no one fed the fire. It's time to turn up the gas!!
I would also like to petition for the primaries to be on the same day in every state nationally, so we don't have Iowa and New Hampshire narrowing the field to a couple of folks who aren't the strongest candidates. With televised debates and the Internet, the need to give the same speeches state by state for each primary seems unnecessary and does not result in the selection of the best candidate.
I think that Howard Dean defined the last election in which 56 million people voted for "the most liberal senator in the US Senate." That tells me that the days where Demos try to lok like the GOP are over. So let's get Howard Dean in a position to define the party.
I support Dean for Chairman of the DNC. I am a republican, and can think of nobody who can articulate the positions of the looney left better aside from Michael Moore than him.
The DNC needs new thinking, new strategies, integration of new technologies, and a focus on integrating non-voters into the body politic.
Go for it, Gov. Dean!
