I was for Howard Dean all the way and then they chose Kerry because of a scream -- pahleeze! The scream was for enthusiasm and relief. What a bunch of souless people who picked up on that incident. Dr Dean was not afraid to express what we all thought.
It's time for the Democratic party to grow a spine. No more of this "Just like the republicans, only less so" B.S. I'm hanging on by a thread to this party and I suspect there are millions more out there just like me.
we need a chairman who can draw a contrast between republicans and democrats. We will never win by being republican-lite.i cant tell how many times ive heard apathetic voters complain that the two parties are the same, it infuriates me because i dont believe thats true.Go Dean!!!
I am a sustaining member of the DNC. I will stop my monthly donations and cancel my membership in the Democratic Party if it fails to select Howard Dean. Paul Matthews in Mc Lean, Virginia.
Hand over the reigns of the DNC to Howard Dean. He speaks for me, and for millions of Democrats who fought to win this last election. The same cannot be said of the current DNC leadership. It is time for them to go!
The DNC/DLC need Dean more than Dean needs them. The time to heal the very ill party is now. We can't continue losing election after election. Furthermore, the Democratic party has strayed so far into the right that shouldn't even be called by that name anymore, but Republican Lite or Republican Annex. Not just the chairmanship should change, but the way in which they roll over pick losers and marginalized candidates that can win as they did with Dean and General Clark. As along as a drastic change doesn't take place I'll stay registered as an independent. Thank you.
I did not support Howard Dean for President, but I do believe his energy, commitment to principle, and especially his vision qualify him as party leader.
I strongly encourage you to elect Howard Dean to the position of Chair of the Democratic National Committee. His progressive vision and leadership are vital in driving our party forward to future victories.
I wanted Dean for President, so of course I would rec him for DNC Chair. He is engergizing, not devisive, and is perceived as understanding and allied with the middle class folks.
I'm a recently elected precinct committeeman and I think the entire party needs to start applying the organizational techniques Dean tested in his campaign. Get wired!
I share the vision to build a viable Democratic Party for the long term that actively promotes, recruits and elects like minded democrats to offices up and down the ticket—from city council to U.S. Senate.
We need a DNC Chair who will not roll over and play dead for the Republicans. We need a leader that will demand a spine from our members in congress. We NEED Howard Dean as DNC Chairman.
I did not support a Dean canadicy (for several readsons) but I think he could do more good here than anywhere else. By the way I have said this since the late summer of 2003. I am glad that the rest of you are now on board.
Howard Dean is a great man and a great Democrat. He was the one who got me into politics in the first place and he has the courage to fight for what is right!
The Democratic party needs an individual with intellingence, character, and strong convictions. Someone who will not stop fighting for what we believe in.
Aside from Dean, there is not a fighter among national Democrats. Pelosi is not, Lieberman is not, Gephardt, Nelson... they cower under Republican attacks and they smell blood. We on a grassroots level – led by Howard Dean – were the ones to fight the battles that party Democrats shirked for the past four years. Let Howard Dean to run the DNC and you'll see a fighting spirit and confidence race throughout the party, otherwise the party's over.
