if the republican party under the control of the far right wing stays in power this country will be destroyed. howard dean as chairman of the dnc would be a good move toward stopping them.
We need someone in this position who will stand up for the people and differentiate the Democrats from the Republicans. I think Howard Dean is a great choice!
I am a democrat, I volunteered for kerry-edwards,my husband and i contributed financially and never will again unless Howard Dean is the new leader of the dnc.
There would be nobody better for DNC Chairman position than Howard Dean. This man has continuously stood with core democratic principles. As has been said Democrats do not need to be Republican Light. We need to return to our roots and strengthen our base.
This is why I like Howard Dean:
"Honesty is a moral value," Dean said, drawing cheers from those who still love to hear the former Vermont governor reproach the president, even indirectly.
"If this election had been decided on moral values, the Democrats would have won," Dean continued.
We need real progressive values used in our rhetorical arguments on policy. We do not need any more elitist pro corporation messages that leave people on both sides of the political spectrum disaffected and enraged. Let's be the party of the people again!!!
Howard Dean is exactly what this party needs. If we keep fading to the right I'll need to find a new party. Howard Dean has the leadership and the good old fashioned Decomcratic party values that we all long for. Give us something we can REALLY GET BEHIND!
Listen to the grass roots! Howard Dean is absolutely right on the direction the DNC needs to go. I didn't support him in the primaries, but I fully support him for DNC Chair.
As a very active and young Democrat, I would like the party to start heading back in the winning direction. We can no longer just choose our battles. We need to be competitive in every single election from the local level to national level. I think only Governor Dean is willing and prepared to make that a goal of our party.
Howard Dean is the real leader.
To the Democratic Leadership---The Republican Leadership feared him and the media followed suit. Howard Dean is the one person who will bring most all of us together at this critical time in the world. Yes, that means a great number of Republicans also. Many of my friends are Republican (not the Administration kind of Republican, just prudent folks with lots of responsibilities). Most whom I talked to before the election admitted they would not have voted for George Bush had Howard Dean been nominated.
Howard Dean is one of the finest and most inspirational leaders American politics has to offer and he has been a loyal Democrat. Do not abandon him again. Elect him chairman of the Democratic National Committee----WITH GUSTO, COURAGE AND DETERMINATION. When you do this you will be creating a positive future for us, our Party, our Nation and in effect the whole World.
We need fire and passion in the DNC leadership, and Howard Dean is just the person to provide it. He and Nancy Pelosi make a great pair for the Democratic party's future!
A democratic party that moves toward the right is not one I will continue to support, I had major problems supporting a pro-war Kerry, "centrism" is a losing strategy. We need a strong voice with vision to chair the DNC, Howard Dean is that person.
Howard Dean is JUST what we need to bring the party together--a man who governed as a moderate but will take a stand on issues important to the MAJORITY of Democrats. The current DNC is out of touch and in danger of losing its relevance to a truly democratic system.

I think you would be a great candidate for the DNC Chair Possition. I worked really hard for your campaign because I feel that you reflect what the Democratic Party wants to reflect. As part of the University of (NE @) Omaha College Democrats, I wanted to extend our indorsement. (For whatever that is worth.) :-) There are a lot of great Democrats who lead this party to new hights, but we feel (as a group) that you would do it better!
I know that you have been weighing your options and you have a tough decision ahead of you. However, being optimistic, eager college students we are rearing to turn this country into a more tolerant, peaceful, and fiscally responsible country. One where it's easier to live day to day and there is a brighter future ahead of us! We believe that you would be the one to help us to better days!

howard dean could assure a democratic victory in 2008 as chairman. he is organized, articulate, confident, knows the issues we should be addressing, and will be unwavering in his message. we need his leadership.
Our Democratic Party sorely needs the moral leadership of Howard Dean. The failed presidential campaign is proof of the need for a broad, non-fundamentalist impetus.
The Democratic Party needs to field candidates who can garner across-the-aisle support, who come from typically Republican areas and who relate to the entire cross-section of America. As internal leader of our Party, we need someone who isn't necessarily bipartisan and who isn't willing to make political concession to the Right; someone who can whip our Party into a frenzy and who would refuse to gloss over liberal convictions. That's why Howard Dean is the man for the job
This is a 'second best' option. I would PREFER that the Democratic Party be declared DEFUNCT... and Dean start a NEW Party called the PATRIOT PARTY! No more OUTDATED, STODGY, "closed-club" DNC-ruled B.S. which has RUINED our Party!!!
The middle road has failed us; we have lost two presidential runs and both houses under the Demublicanized DNC- the only way to win- and to make lasting changes and preserve the New Deal- is to embrace the poor, stand up for the working class, and utterly eliminate corporate domination in our government. Only Howard Dean has had the cajounes to say so... and only Howard has been right about the problems within the party. He is the right man for the job.
Dr. Dean is the only prominent political figure presently, who offers a true alternative to the Republican Ultra Right Wing agenda. If the Democrats are finally going to show themselves to be different from the Republicans and offer voters a true alternative, we must put Dr. Dean at the head so he can began the changning the current mealymouthed mindset.
Howard Dean is not a member of the elitist DLC or the Inside-the-Beltway DNC. But he is smart, accessible, down to earth, and a great organizer and campaigner. We the people would feel that the Democratic Party belonged to us again.
Howard Dean is very much needed to become the head of the DNC.
Presently, the Democrtaic party is in need of help to define who the Democrtas are and why being a liberal is somehting to be proud of.
The Democratic party needs a new leader, needs to new direction and needs to market itself as the party for ALL people in the United States.
Howard Dean running for the white house this past election changed the complexion of the party and energized the base.
Think of allthe magnificant possibilities he could attain ans the leader of the DNC.
