We need Dean to keep this party from turning into just a slightly more liberal version of the Republican party. This is not the time to turn centrist. The pendulum will start to swing our way once again when the country fully digests the effects of 8 years of Dubya and company.
Dean will be able to create an agenda that will mobilize a solid base and convince "others" to join us.
Anyone other than Dean for DL and I will be looking for and working hard for a third party candidate! WE NEED A CHOICE!!
I want Dean in and the DLC out. I'll settle for Dean, but anything less and I'm ditching the party for whatever third party springs from the ashes of the deceased Democratic Party.
Dr. Dean we need people like you, desperately to bring our message accross the nation with the innovative creativity you utilized in your run for the presidency. You obvious conviction in every core democratic value make you the most trustworthy candidate on the roster. You have my wholehearted support.
Howard Dean? Absolutely! We need someone to chair our Party who is not afraid to speak their mind and who will stand up to the corrupted Regressives. Go Howard! You have my vote babe.
I think Dr Dean got some ruff treatment from the Press in 2004...If he reconsiders his position on the tax cuts for middle and low income families, then I think even the main stream media can't touch him.
I cannot think of a better choice to re-invigorate the democratic party plus give it a voice against the right wing fringe and their agenda against America.
Gov. Dean would be an excellent choice for DNC Chair! He has the energy and vitality to be able to carry the Democratic party back in the right direction.
Barbara Boxer was the only Senator with backbone enough to question the results of the election. Since she's not available for DNC chair, let's go with the ONLY OTHER MAJOR DEMOCRAT WITH SOME *%$@# BACKBONE, CLEAR THINKING, AND YEAAHHHHH!
I want to emphasize that although Dr. Dean was not my choice in the Democratic primary (I'm a committed follower of Wes Clark), I think Dr. Dean would excel in this position.
Dear DNC. I don't know what to say that hasn't certainly already been said. But I will simply say - if Dean is not elected chair, I will have to look elsewhere for a political party that represents what i believe in. Thank you.
God Bless you Doctor Dean!!!
You are the only our hope to clean all the party from these DINOs (Democrats in Name Only) who can count our money, but do not want to count our votes. Let's defit them all!!!
Watched the DNC Chairman candidates on C-Span and thought Howard Dean was by far the clearest thinker and the best speaker. He seemed much smarter than the others and cut to the chase.
Howard, I personally am proud to be a democrat today. If not for people like yourself I highly doubt that I would be. Please consider running for the chair. Thank you.
Matt Hilton.

Dr. Dean seems to be a Democrat without prefix or suffix or reservation. He is just the kind of leader we need while in opposition. And oppose we must.
Howard Dean was not my top choice for our Presidential candidate in 2004, But he hands down is my choice for DNC Chair. Dean has the skills and the support needed to restore our Party to greatness. Thank God he is willing to do this. Dean will heal our Party by giving us all hope and a stake in the outcome.
Let's have someone that will return us to the great tradition of the Democratic Party. The party that have us civil rights, medicare, social security, the longest stretch of economic growth in our history, and public assistance programs.
Howard Dean is single-handedly the most competant individual to lead the DNC. We need courage, not assimilation! We need someone to stand up for our rights and protect the unfortunate...we need Howard Dean!
Howard Dean should be DNC Chair because: He's a concertive(balanced his state's budget) he is a progressive: He had 98% of the children in his state insured: he is a concertive: he worked will with business in Vermont and the econony
The U.S. badly needs a reenergized Democratic Party. It may take the country 20 years to recover from the damage done by Bush's Presidency.
We must get back to a progressive, populist focus -- and somehow make sure that all the votes are counted in 2006 and 2008. I support Howard Dean because I believe he is a man of courage and conviction and he may be the only one capable of leading us out of the wilderness.
I believed in Howard Dean before the infamous scream and I still do. Heading the DNC is a perfect job for Dean...Dems need a wake-up call and Dean is the man to administer it.
The last thing the Democratic party needs to do right now is "move to the center". We need a liberal visionary like Howard Dean as a moral compass to lead this party in the only direction that will save it.
After close examination of several possible candidates for the DNC Chair, I believe Howard Dean is the one who will stand up for Democratic Party beliefs -- not pander to others, including the press -- and who has proven his ability to organize related information, activities, and support effectively. I vote for Dean.
We need a person, who has the vision and strength to lead the Democractic Party forward away from this lastest defeat. I believe that Howard Dean is the only person who has what it takes to put our party back ontop.
