The Democratic Party has got to face reality that Bill Clinton and his wife are the gift that keeps giving for the Republicans. Hillary should leave politics; Bill should get off the stage entirely. They started the whole "gay agenda" problem for the Democrats with "gays in the military," for pure political opportunism to win the '92 California primary.
Howard Dean has firm principles and will not bend to the will of the right-wing Republicans who have threatened to polarize and monopolize America for the next 30 years.
Howard Dean knows the direction of a better future for all, willing to stand up to the powers that could dismantle Democracy as written in the Constitution.
The Democratic Party doesn't need to get religion or move to the right. It needs Howard Dean. The Rank and File who know why we are Democrats need Howard Dean as DNC Chairman.
I amnot signing out of Dean worship, but out of the strong desire to move the party OFF the sad and boringnon-philosophy it has been following under the Dem. Leadership Centrists' banner. What a boring absence-of-left-wing we have fostered..and then wewonder hoe the right can excite its followers so. Let's start changing this, now. Dean is one way to start.
Howard Dean is just what the doctor ordered for the ailing Democratic Party. Perhaps he can succeed in making the Democratic Party a party of principle once again.
Howard was the single most important person in revitalizing the Democratic Party. We need to stand up for what is right and not be a carbon copy of the Republicans. There has to be a difference. The whole world is laughing at us. They cannot believe that people in this country voted for Bush. We must stand up for what is right and good. Howard is the person to do that.
Please allow Howard Dean to chair the DNC. Our only hope of showing the country and the world that the RNC is a corporatist, fundamentalist, hate machine is by not apologizing for who we are. Dean never fell out of step with the Democratic party, the Democratic party fell out of step with Democrats. It is drastically going in the wrong direction (as shockingly obvious by the choice for Minority leader!) and Howard Dean has proven he can motivate the base and turn the voters out.
The DNC needs shaking up. We need someone who can remind the nation that it was "liberals" who brought them social security, unemplyment insurance, federally insured bank deposits, medicare, one man one vote, etc. etc. We need someone to speak up and not be afraid and thatis Howard Dean.r
It's time to get someone in there who respects the base of the party and who won't give in to the corporate interests that have seriously diluted our party's message.
I will never forget St.Anselem's college in NH campaigning for Dean. We were 900-100 strong yet Kerry had 75-100 including his paid off firefighters. These firefighters knocked down women punching and committing violent acts. Kerry snickered as if happened. It showed me the revenge and real bitterness Kerry types in the party have for Dean Type Democrats. We need to start being members of our town and city democratic committees. We can then change the DNC. Let's get it started. Pailes
I think Dean would revitalize the party and take it where it needs to go, back to being proud of being progressive and standing for all the secular humanist values that this once-great country was founded on.
It's time that we stop letting fund-raisers run the party which FDR and even Andrew Jackson made great. It's time for honesty in a time when lies hold the day. It's time for Howard Dean to bring his leadership to a tattered political party and try to retain the two-party system.
I think you would be wonderful for the Democratic party. About your
yell, I thought it
was great to be so
overjoyed about the
Democratic party.
I wish you had won
the nomination. You
would beat them all
hands down. Betty

Say HI to your wife. We would be in the White House
now. I like John
Edwards also. Sorry
about his wife, I
know what she is
going thru I had it
also. But a man I
was working for said I had not a
biopsy, but autopsy. Was he trying to tell me
something? Betty
I was not politically active, and floationg towards the greens until Howard Dean showed me the light. Now, at 20 years old, I have donated hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours to the democratic party.
Howard Dean is the man who inspired me to donate hundreds of dollars to the Democratic Party, volunteer to GOTV, and now become active in local politics. There are thousands of new activists like me. Dean confronted Bush when we desparately needed to stand up for the values the Democratic Party has always represented. My enthusiasm and excitement for the Democratic Party would increase exponentially with Dean as the head. We have to fight back against the Republicans fast and hard. Dean is trhe man to lead the charge.
Howard, you and I, and Tom Harkin, and Al Gore, and about 75 per cent of the folks signing this petion are infinitely more fit to lead the Democratic party than the shiny suited Repug-lites who currently occupy the office.
His extraordinary organization, DFA, is indicative of his skill in energizing people to volunteer and become active in the party. We need someone like him.
My advocacy has as it's basis the fact that Howard Dean clearly understands at a core level the subject of framing political debate from a Democratic standpoint and the need to unite the various issues and viewpoints we hold most dear to create an overall vision and framework for what it means to be a democrat.
The Democratic party sorely needs Dr. Dean as DNC Chair. He is not afraid to speak up for his beliefs. He is responsible for much of the energy in the 2004 campaign.
Howard Dean speaks truth to power. He is what we need in this dark time. The GOP is seeking totalitarian one-party rule with no checks and balances. We need a fighter. Howard Dean is the man for the job.
While all other Democrats and Dean's fellow candidates were worrying about electability and defeating Bush, Dean spoke what we all needed to hear: the truth. In essence, voters were consumed by their own preconceived notions that someone with the politics of Dean would never have a chance at the White House, and so out of "fear", which the Republicans are always flaunting, they opted to go for someone they thought had a chance. This method defeated its purpose, and the man who really had a chance was thrown away. Democrats, please realize your folly, and follow the one you know should be doing the job, and he WILL be electable.
We need to stay true to what the democratic party really stands for. The country will not accept a soft copy of Bush when they can have the original. We need genuine who can expand and fire up the base, instead of trying to get people who would never vote for a democrat anyway. It just doesn't work. Dean is the man for the job. He has a clear vision with original ideas, and he's incited a lot of passion.
Terry Mcaliff needs to find a job that suits him. He has not been an effective chairman. He is responsible for the party's loss. He is not a visionary. We need a true leader, one who is in contact with us and with the way that we should be lead. Howard Dean is capable of energising the public. He knows where we went wrong and he is capable of showing us the way.
