50 28 Feb 2007 - 6:46    .177 : I dont believe that all magpies should be wiped out completely, but their numbers should be reduced. In the UK at least anyway, cant speak for australia! In this country theyre part of the reason for the decrease in the number of song birds. Alot of them are now endangered wheras the population of magpies is booming. Ive tried to set up a decent little eco-system in my garden to try and encourage the nesting of some of the endangered birds. If iv'e got to shoot a few of the abundant magpies on my land to protect the endangered birds then im prepared to do it. Finding the heads of endangered birds your trying to breed (in effect) is quite frustrating, especially beacause the magpies arent eating them, theyre just killing them to obtain territory.
