I dont believe that all magpies should be wiped out completely, but their numbers should be reduced. In the UK at least anyway, cant speak for australia! In this country theyre part of the reason for the decrease in the number of song birds. Alot of them are now endangered wheras the population of magpies is booming. Ive tried to set up a decent little eco-system in my garden to try and encourage the nesting of some of the endangered birds. If iv'e got to shoot a few of the abundant magpies on my land to protect the endangered birds then im prepared to do it. Finding the heads of endangered birds your trying to breed (in effect) is quite frustrating, especially beacause the magpies arent eating them, theyre just killing them to obtain territory.

Finally! I have been harrased by maggies for too long! Swooped, attacked, they even tore my budgies head off through a cage. Theres's, like, a billion species of birds, w're hardly gonna miss them, heaps of birds look like magpies anwyway, like um mudlarks.

I do not support this petition. Magpies are wonderful creatures and they deserve to live on this earth as much as any other creature does. What do you mean by 'the way of human life depends on it'? Magpies don't affect the way of human life, they should be left in peace, anyone who supports this petition deserves to be destroyed.

I agree with everything about this and i am going to make a speech to city counsil to help save the enviroment by seeing if the car companies can only make hybrid cars because they are better for the enviroment adn the help save you money!

look,to all of you not in favour of this, Magpies are flying rats. they kill off other species so its up to the other animal that god made called the 'human' to stop the magpie. Its the way of life. If yous want to only have the crow and the magpie as our only birds in 20 years well fine but i know that i dont so I SUPPORT THIS PETITION.

i support this petition because it is very distressing hearing the magpies around where we live killing and tormenting the blue tits and the starlings, and the blackbirds and their young. magpies are not pretty, nor do they do the bird world any compliments, they are common killers with no predators. they need wiped out!

because magpies are killing the Blue tits and the starlings, and its very distressing hearing their awful chattering, as they swoop down to kill and torment the little birds and their young. they are not beautiful, they are not nive, they are common killers, and the horrible thing about it all is, that they have no predators themselves, so they are free to diminish the bird population.
