Ron Paul's remarks were not absurd. In fact, they were far from it - The simple fact is that US interventionism in the middle east has been breeding an atmosphere of contempt for the US for 50 years, and we are now paying the price. What I found absurd was your willingness to attack another candidate for speaking the truth, whether you knew he was right or not. The US political system is degenerating into a rich man's club whose sole interest is the monopolization and growth of power, and this must be stopped. I would be delighted if you were to engage Ron Paul in a public debate, because I am almost certain that you would lose. Go ahead and listen to your political advisors as I know you will - Listen to them and stay away from the debate, because they are right - No good for your campaign can come from it. You simply do not have the intellectual muscle or philosophical footing to win any sort of rational debate against a principled man so inclined to tell the truth as Ron Paul.

Rudy Giuliani has not done his homework. There ARE consequences to our actions, and if Mr. Giuliani thinks he can run his one-trick pony act all the way to the Presidency, he's got a very rude awakening waiting for him.

I don't think we will see this debate happen. Not debating would be a de facto admission that Giuliani knows he would lose, but doing the debate would make it a public confirmation...
