I personally have had enough and I hope that you all will join me in my quest. Fanfiction.net has to stop deleting our stories. They are our hard works that we slave over (or have come easily to us). Many times these works are lost forever due to backups being lost or deleted a long time ago. Many of the rules are stupid.

Such rules are::

1. Non-stories: lists, bloopers, polls, previews, challenges, author notes, and etc.

2. One or two liners.

3. comments inserted in between the flow of a copied story.

4. Stories with non-historical and non-fictional characters: actors, musicians, and etc.

5. Any form of interactive entry: choose your adventure, second person/you based, Q&As, and etc.

6. Chat/script format and keyboard dialogue based entries.

Now even stories that have a chapter dedicated to just author notes are being deleted.

Not only is there a lost of the story the person's self esteem is lowered. Many authors here are first timers and so their works are not that great.

Fanfiction please stop deleting our fics. Let us write what we want. And if your going to keep your rules in force at least be decent enough to ask us to change it instead of deleting it.

We just may comply if you were a little sweeter...

I hope that others see my view and will sign along with me, maybe together we can stop the deletions of our stories.

I doubt they even check the reported stories before deleting them. Give at least a warning if you're too lazy to read the content...

They AT LEAST have to give the authors warning, that has got to be the saddest thing. Luckily, I've not had that happen to me but I would be crushed if they did it abruptly :/

I agree with alot of the rules, actually, but the rules are changed often and some people don't get to read them- or they forget and make one little mistake. I lost my only (good) fanfic because I wrote lyrics to the song "Can't Stop Loving You" by Van Halen. I wrote a big long disclaimer, too. I am just hoping that Fanfiction.net could give us atleast a 48 hour warning before they crush our dreams.

Fanfiction.net needs to get rid of whatever neo-nazis that are running it. It's ridiculous that they just go in and delete a story after having one person report it! They need to give people a chance to correct whatever is wrong with the reported story, instead of sending it to the fanfiction gas-chamber.
