It is infuriating to know that the administration of Santa Rosa High School will not allow Denia Perez, our ASB President voted by the student body, to make a speech at the 2008 Graduation ceremonies.

This is a woman who every knows and loves in the class of 2008 and beyond, someone who has no enemies or grudges, and is deeply devoted to the school and Class of 2008.

Denia Perez deserves this honor after serving the school for the school year of 2007/2008.

All the speech makers chosen are all Caucasian and reach out mainly to people in ArtQuest. Being the first Mexican president of SRHS, Denia Perez can reach out to the Mexican community which is over HALF of our schools population, she can also speak for people actively involved in student government and in athletics.

It is shocking to hear that this person will not be making a speech as all ASB presidents in the past have made a speech at their graduation.

Using this petition, we strongly recommend that you let Denia Perez make a speech at graduation for the class of 2008.
