I grew up with this show and it was everything to me. Id buy the complete dvd series for myself and future children! I have named my work computer TXL as well.
I'm 25 and from the USA. When I was little, I watched Today's Special religiously. It was my favorite show. It would be so amazing to see a reunion. Just seeing the photos of Jeff, Jodie, Sam, Muffy makes me feel so good. Like I said in a separate post, it would be a dream come true to have the show come out on DVD.
This was the best show I ever grew up watching and always had a valuable lesson at the end of the shows. Plz put this on DVD you will make millions happy.
This was a show i grew up watching as a kid. just seeing the shows that are on for the kids nowadays makes me sick. plz put this show on a box set avaialbe to buy. so we can show our kids quality programming
I'm 20 and i love this show. It breaks my heart to know that bad shows are available for children, while a masterpiece is not!Do it for all my friends. We grew up on Today's Special.

It would be great to see this released on DVD. I fondly remember watching this show (and Pinwheel) on Nickelodeon as a small child, and now I have a child of my own to share it with.
The best family show to come from Canada. It had magic, fun, music and lessons that were all good for the inner growth of children. Like Jim Henson's work as well, grownups loved and love it too, and is great to bring generations together. I would definitely watch it and buy it if it comes back!
My family still has many of the episodes taped onto VHS for my future children. It is a show that never seems "old." Thanks for producing it. I would love to be able to purchase it on DVD.
i would love to have these on dvd to share with my children over the next few years. this was my favortie childhood show hands down. i used to love to guess which episode it was going to be before they showed the name of it in the blue screen at the beginning. PLEASE let me know if the dvd comes out.
I think you should deffinetly bring back todays special. I think it would also be beneficial to bring back pinwheel, the polka dot door and other old nickelodeon shows!
I loved this show so much as a kid that I dreamed about it at night! I recently learned about episodes available on video and LOVED seeing this show again. I think a lot of young adults would buy a DVD version of this show for nostalgia and to show to their kids.
I am named after Jodie from the show. My sister named me. I loved the show and watched it daily as a kid. I would love to see it on DVD, especially because my friends don't know what Today Special is.
I watched this show as a kid on my local PBS affiliate (KETC). Couldn't even remember the name, but I remembered the basic premise and certainly the fact that I loved the show as a kid. Thinking about it brings back many happy memories.
I would very much like to see some kind of reunion show. Don't know how it would be aired here in the states, so a DVD would be nice too :)
I guess I'm not surprised to see such little interest, it has joined the ranks of obscurity. But I know that I have a lot of friends who grew up in the early eighties and share fond memories of this show. I will definitely spread the word.
For some reason this show popped into my head this morning and with a fond memory tracked it down and came upon this website. I'd be very nice if they made a DVD.
I am really glad that ``Today's Special'' might come to DVD and do a reunion because there aren't many people that haven't seen the show. I really want TV Ontario to make season sets of this show because you can relive childhood memories over and over again. My favorite moments on the show is when Jeff took his hat off or when it falls off accidentally. I also liked it when the chimes would sound in the newie episodes (1984-1987). I also wrote some storybook specials based on the show including ``Babysitting,'' ``Riot,'' ``Jeff Joins The Army,'' and others. I would love to see the cast come back together again and share those memories.
I think a reunion show would be great, but you need to keep in mind that there's fans of Today's Special in more places than just Ontario. So if a reunion show is done, it should somehow be nationally broadcasted. I live in Calgary, AB and used to watch Today's Special on Access TV.
TVOntario has made some of the best educational programming of all time (Read All About It, Parlez-Moi, Readalong, CUCUMBER etc).
A "Today's Special" Reunion DVD would be an awesome tribute to all the great people who made that fantastic show happen, to all it's fans that hung in there and to TVO itself.
I really loved watching Today's Special on PBS. It would be great to have a reunion show of Today's Special for all of us who miss the show including me, and it would also be great for the benefit of little children to see the show.
