"Funded or Unfunded" what is the difference?, is there anything left!!! after the 'Worlds greatest Treasurer'(NOT)and 'Australia's greatest Prime Minister'(NOT)'PAUL F-WIT & ANTIQUE CLOCK MAN KEATING, Spent all of the funds during his reign of Terror, Whatever the current crop of Pollies are doing, is only going to benefit them!!!Drug Dealers have more Credibility!!! The SERVICEMAN (Ex or Otherwise) has, and always will be treated as a Second Class Citizen!!!!
I don't believe that I, or other members of DFRBF should be penalized by the Govt by NOT giving all members what is rightly ours. We should NOT be coupled with public servants!
The underhanded tacktics of previous governments should not be the bench mark to disadvantage loyal members of the ADF past and present; I agree this is a disgrace!
The release of Abu Bakar Bashir and the continued persecution of "infidels" to our immediate North proves that Australia needs a strong ADF. Unless the package of conditions improves, the shortfall in personnel will get worse. Veterans' Entitlements and tax exempt Super are essential to recriutment and retention.
I spent 15 years in the RAAF under this crap scheme and got nothing for it. Yet now people spend less time than me and get a healthy return. What a joke.
Consistency and equality are our right. Both sides of Politics continually talk of fair play and of what is and is not 'Australian'. How they are treating us is cetainly not fair and certainly not in the spirit of what is Australian.
Servicemen/women and ex-Servicemen/women have made great sacrifices in their lives to protect the quality of life all Australians enjoy. Why are these people in Parliament who we democratically select to care for our interests so loath to grant us that for which we are entitled.

If it wasn't for your government we would be enjoying the benefits of a fully self-funded scheme that gave bonuses every year because of the enormous wealth the scheme generated.
I'd rather they forget the medals and all that other garbage the pollies like to throw at us nowadays - it's all feel good stuff (more for them than us). It'd be better if they looked after us when they have done with our service and put is out to an empty pasture.
The big problem is that DFRB/DFRDBF was never funded from the time of Bob Menzies yet successive Governments have had use of that money that should have been provided to fund the DFRB/DFRDBF. The term
"unfunded" is used because the government has not actually contributed it's employer contributions as is legally required of all Australian employers.
The unfunded part due from the government has been used to fund other projects needed to be undertaken by the government.
Why does the Government not fill out the paperwork to show that that actually the money was available. It was just used for other purposes and it was lazy in failing to provide the paperwork to show that money it was legally require to supply to the DFRBDFRDBF was available.
The shortfall plus interest could be funded by the Government from Consolidated Revenues which should provided the monies when due.
Military
superannuants deserve a fair deal from governments of all descriptions and not treated as cheats.
Remember there is an election next year!!!!

A great historical lesson for the Treasurer and Government. My wife was totally ripped off by COMSUPER/DFRB/DFRDB because she was too timid to come forward after the death of her ex Vietnam Vet husband. I don't want her to be further disadvantaged.
on 14th October 1986 the cpi was reduced from 9.2% to 7.2% it took years to restore the 2% but there was no adjustment to our pensions, and how many times have the name been changed RBO, COMSUPER etc WE NEED A FAIR GO.
This was always "funded" untill a greedy government decided it wasn't and used the funds alotted for nefarious reasons. Bring it back up to full parity now.
