In the recent years there have been a growing number of diabetics in the UK, many of whom require 4 daily injections of insulin. This is painful and can cause serious consequences if forgotten. Finally after being tested in the US, a new drug called 'Exubera' which can be inhaled, was suggested to the NHS and quickly rejected by NICE (National Institute for Health & Clinical Excellence)for being too costly (estimated costs of £1100 per person, per year). I believe that there are many people who would gladly pay part or all of the cost to alleviate some of the pain and anguish that these daily injections create.
