i would love to have this new channel... but i expect for it to show the movie "the nightmare before christmas" once or twice during the holidays. and if u dont think that its not a disney movie... why do they change "the haunted mansion" (at disneyland) into a "nightmare before christmas" ride during the holidays? anyways.. i love this new idea and i hope that it will happen because families need to stay in tune with their old favorite disney movies. I am a disney freak, and i still have forgotten some of what happens in the old disney movies because im trying to keep up with the new ones, and if there was a channel like that who could show all of the old movie.. i could totally watch them without the hassle of going to have to look for the movie in my closet, and rewind it and then try and pay attention without getting sidetracked by my responsibilities in my home. this would really give me a chance to watch something on tv that would be good for my whole family and a chance for me to convert others into disney freaks. i hope that this petition works because the last one i signed worked(to get the nightmare before christmas into the el capitan theater for a few nights). The best of luck to the genius or geniuses who thought of this idea!!!! :)
Get rid of that PC(politically correct) 'tween stuff and put back on the family value, legacy, and "true want" for the true Disney followers and believers! Believe in the Magic! HELP US Mickey!!!!!
I'm 57 years young and I miss the old Disney. I would love to see the VAULT back on the Disney channel for us older kids. Enen though the animal planet, the discovery channel, and the learning channel are very educational. I miss Winston Hibler telling us all about various wildlife.
I can still remember when "Walt Disney Presents" first came on TV back in 1955 when I was just 7 years old and Mr. Disney himself would talk to his TV audience before each show about what was going to be coming up on the show. When cable hit my town over 20 years ago, I quickly included the Disney Channel. I was so thrilled to be able to watch all the classic shows I grew up with. Many shows such as Swamp Fox, Texas John Slaughter, and many other great adventurous shows geared to young children growing up in the then brand new TV era. When cable came to my town I quickly signed up for the Disney Channel and enjoyed all of my childhood Disney programs and movies with my children. Now I will cancel the Disney Channel because there is in my opinion no quality programs on the present Disney TV Network. The kind of quality that Mr. Disney would have approved. At least when the Disney TV Vault was on, there were still some redeeming quality time of classic programs left on the Disney Network. Let's face it, what young child would be allowed to stay up & watch the present cartoon shows airing after midnight into the wee hours of the morning? At least as adults we were able to set our VCR's if we didn't stay up for the Disney Vault shows that were shown in the very early hours when on Disney Vault TV was on..Some of these present cartoons are very silly. Even the colors incorporated into these cartoons are not quality! None of them are like the good old Mickey & Friends Cartoons which all the Disney theme parks are based on. If nothing is changed on the Disney Network, then I would suggest a second Disney Cable Channel for Disney Classics. This way Disney fans young & old would be pleased. The Disney Corporation is moving at the speed of light opening more theme parks, expanding the present parks without really reflecting on Mr. Disney's philosophy. He wanted entertainment for families, not just kids. You cannot or should not compromise Quality fo
I agree entirely with this message! I just loved the Disney Channel when the old movies and vault Disney was on. I got to see so many specials that I hadn't seen in years that were originally on the Wonderful World of Disney. And I've always been into old musicals. I grew up with them!
I even got to see Disney movies that I either had forgotten about ever seeing or that I'd never seen before!

age 27 West Virginia I would love to see a vault Disney channel. I also think that a Disney Classic Movie channel would be great. Something showing movies that the family can watch together, like Swiss Family Robinson, Old Yeller,Pollyanna, etc. I think it is sad that this generation is growing up without exposure to movies that uphold family values.
Bring back the Vault. My wife and I enjoyed staying up late and watching the old shows that were out even before our time. We miss these shows and would love to have them back.
Add my name to this list. I miss Vault Disney and think Disney is being incredibly short-sited. I can't imagine Disney is going to listen to just a few hundred petitioners, but it's certainly worth a try.
My children watch Disney Channel, which is ok, but Disney has many, many quality movies and shows in the "vaults" that can be enjoyed by this generation of children, too!

I emailed Disney several times after they took "Vault Disney" off the air years ago. They said it wasn't relevant anymore. I pray and hope this enchanment returns to Disney. I would definitely even pay a subscription price for this channel. Please return Walt's root's to us Disney! ~signed Jim~
We adults need Vault Disney back. How many children stay up late to watch Kim Possible and Lizzie. I miss the mm club and Zorro. What was Disney thinking when they took all the Vault Disney shows off. Disney is losing its magic.
The "Vault Disney" late night series was awsome! Especially for us "oldsters" who grew up with the original "Wonderfull World of Disney"! Also please rerun the "Disney Insider" series with info on the Parks. It was also very interesting.

I would love to see a channel like this. I miss the classic shows, both live-action and animated. The Walt Disney Treasure DVD sets are great but not enough. Bring on a classic Disney channel!!

My wife and have subscribed to the Disney Channel since before we had our son in 1991, so we are long-time fans. At this point, though our son watches many Disney Channel shows, there is little for us to watch. We particularly miss a show called "Walt Disney World Inside Out," in which the hosts filled you in on the latest developments at the park, took you inside attractions, etc. Now they rarely seem to even refer to the parks and when they do it's for little 60-second blurbs that don't really tell much of anything or generate much excitement. I'd love a channel for us "old-timers" to watch with our families. Heck, I'd even love an all-theme-parks channel!
I am 53 and grew up on all things related to early Disney on TV and early movies. I would LOVE to see the old shows and movies again and share the MAGIC with my grandkids who have never had the joy and pleasure of early Disney, especially the old TV shows with the master himself, Walt Disney. What a thrill it would be for us oldtimers to see a new generation of fans enjoy the magic the way we did!!!!!

The new Disney Channel is not the same as the previous Wonderful World Of Disney or disney's World of Color". Those were more family oriented and it would be great to have the family values back!

I live in Canada so I haven't seen the original Disney Channel in years, however, what I remember is worth preserving. Let's get another Vault Disney going for those wonderful classics!! Bring it to Canada too!
I would love for this kind of station to be put on the air with Disney shows from the 50s to today so that young and old alike can enjoy them together and for many years to come-Walt would have wanted that.

I grew up on the Disney Channel - pre-commercials, and at a time when it incorporated both newer Disney shows (Mousercise, for example) and classic Disney. Keep the principles instilled by Walt Disney alive, and allow a newer generation to experience classic Disney!
Bring back Vault Disney, im not a kid but enjoy some of the Disney Channel programming but really enjoyed Vault Disney because that is what I grew up with!
I loved when the Disney Channel would run "Vault Disney" on their overnight programming. I think a Disney Classics Channel would be a terrific idea. As a former Disney cast member and a lifetime Disney enthusiast, it is important to remember what this company was founded on - let us not forget that it "all began with a mouse". I now work for one of the largest television companies in the world, we have a number of "classic" channels that all thrive and I can see no reason why Disney would not share in that success. Let the next generation experience the magic of the classic films, let them get to know Walt as the terrific host he was introducing his plans for the theme parks. Run the classic Disneyland specials and series outlining the construction of the parks - it is so interesting and exciting!
Yes, Please have a place to showcase all of the older programming. I mean, you have the regular Disney, which is chock full of old TGIF shows, and you have Toon Disney, which has "newer" cartoons like Hercules, Little Mermaid etc. Why cant there be a place where we can see things like Mousterpiece Theatre, Apple Dumpling Gang, Bedknobs & Broomsticks, and some of the other shows like Wish upon a star, Contraption, and maybe even a couple of Herbie movies thrown in for good measure? Maybe there can even be shows showcasing the theme parks and different aspects of them? Just a suggestion. Thanks for your time.
Bring back the REAL Disney. My kids watch Nick and Nick jr not because its good it's just that the Disney channel is so bad. Give kids more credit they love the classics when you let them watch.
SAVE DISNEY!! Bring back the classic animation, and great "vault" disney programming. The new Disney is nothing but cheap, low quality garbage. BRING BACK DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!
If kids go to Disney World today, they wouldn't know who half the characters are because they don't come on tv anymore. We have got to take action fast.
