I happen to be only 16 and agree.I used to love watching Vault Disney when I was younger and Zorro especially!Bringing around a new channel like this would be cool I think.
bring back what disney is all about, it was all started by a mouse. i suffer watching this new channel and i dont have anything to remind me of the old one.
I fell in love with Walt Disney Classics at a young age and would love nothing more than to see Mickey Mouse in his original fanfare, or Jimminy Crickett's words of wisdom. Disney would profit so much more if they devoted one channel to the classics.
I am 24 years old, and grew up on the old Disney Channel. I believe I have seen every single Disney Classic Cartoon, and greatly treasure that. I'm very disappointed that there is no way for the future children of America to witness these classics. At least add a second Disney Channel where movies, cartoons, specials and programs. Please give these back to America!
I completely agree with the statements on the petition. I once had such a desire to become an animator for Disney because of movies like Sleeping Beauty- classic Disney movies. So not only have they ruined the classic animation movies, but the family television shows. Now they are only in it for cheap laughs, and have down graded the intelligence of the audience. And I don't get any more enjoyment from watching these childish shows.
I want the old Disney, our kids should have the great shows that we had. I dont get cable now because of the garbage on tv. I would get Disney, if they would bring back the great shows, like Sidekicks, Mickey Mouse Club, Kids Inc, Ducktales, Talespin.

I think the shows on disney now a re stupid and uncalled for. Like that one Brandy and Mr.whiskers. It's just a gross poppy joke kinda show. Bring back shows with morals and values. Bring back classics like the babysitters club or under the umbrella tree. Bring back the classics.
also bring back shows like ducktales, brotherly love, smart guy, flash forward, show more of the original movies that u created like smart house, luck of the irish, and those ones with the lawrence brothers and show some of ur classic animated movies like aladdin, beauty and the beast, lion king, etc.

I like the disney now but the old shows and movies from the 90'2 were great . please agree with this petetion. I love the shows the torklesons , flash forward , so weird , brotherly love , and the mickey mouse club. and movies like wish upon a star and model behavior. please bring them back .
I miss all the disney channel shows i used to watch when i was younger. I'm 22 now and im not intrested in the shows that are on now. bring back ocean girl, the mickey mouse club, kids in corportated and all those cool shows. I miss all of those. PLEASE.
Disney used to be the only pay channel I subscribed to.It had a little something for the entire Family including the shows I grew up with especially on Vault Disney. Now I would'nt pay extra for this channel if it was only a penny.
I love these shows. They are truly a great way to share time with family and the Disney Channel now is too far afield from the totality of the whole family.
Please bring back television shows from the original Disney Channel. When Disney Channel was a channel that parents had to pay for - my parents gladly paid. My sister and I would spend all our television time watching the Disney Channel. Shows like Kids Incorporated, Dumbo Circus, Pooh Corner, Mickey Mouse Club, You and Me Kid and DISNEY CARTOONS FEATURING MICKEY MOUSE and his friends. Bring DISNEY back to the Disney Channel. I love the old Disney Channel - please bring that format back.
I am 17 years old and my favorite times as a kid were staying up late to watch the wonderful world of color and zorro. it was a great loss to me when they took it off the Disney Channel.
The best thing was watching how they make the disneyland rides and all the in cool things in the park. I miss that so bring it back.

I am 27 years old, and i remember those fonds days of watching great tv shows and movies. I so long to see alot of those again, to actually watch something worthwhile and smile and share the Disney with the younger generations. Above all others--bring back Mousercise!!! Talk about a show ahead of its time and innovative! There is no other program on any network so specificially geared to getting kids to exercise, which is what most need now with obesity even among preschoolers and up! This was the funnest show with cute, dancy exercises that me and my sister loved and made us laugh while working out. We didn't get up so early, but we always got mom to program the vcr and watch it in the afternoon after school for a good workout and 30 minute nap together before dinner. Those are some of my favorite memories of that time : )
ps--ANYONE write to me if you have Mousercise on vhs, dvd or whatever. Not the 1 vhs tape that you can rent at Blockbuster, but all the episodes from the t.v. series that came on in the early 90's! Email me if you have this and would like to make some money!
My brothers and I have been watching the Disney channel our entire lives. I am now 21 years old and I miss the days of My Little Ponies, Gummie Bears, Duck Tales, The Mickey Mouse Club, Kids INC., Vault Disney, Mousercise, The Ink and Paint CLub, Disney's Halloween Treat, and all of the other great family programing. I have always and will always love Disney and all it stands for and I hope that my children will develop the same passion for Disney as I have. All we want it a Disney classics channel.
I'm sure there are sponsors out there who would love to buy adverstising time on this type of cable channel. Please show your creativity and preserve the Disney legacy.

my wife and i were raised on the beauty and magic of the walt disney channel in the 80s and early 90s...we are now 2 twentysomethings who wish for the warm feeling of watching a night of adventure that is both exciting and filled with the innocence of youth....walt disney worked decades upon decades to provide children young and old with an entertainment that was timeless and magical, and it is sad to see all of his efforts pushed to the side in order to cater to a very small, younger age group....bring back a vault disney or disney classics channel, and give the rest of us a happy place to turn the channel to again
I'm 15 and I use to watch Disney channel all the time until they took all of the shows I use to love like Boy Meets World and Ducktails. Disney Channel took away the "family" aspect and I'd like my kids to one day see all of the shows that I grew up watching. I really wish of these classic movies and shows would come back on the air. I really think that you should eally put back on all the old shows and play more of the old movies like A way to witch mountain, summertime switch, and t.v. shows like the torklesond, tucker and becker, baby sitters club, etc.
This petition addresses exactly what my wife and I have been saying for 3 years now...what the heck is up with taking away all the classic movies and Vault Disney from the Disney Channel? It's ludicrous. What kid is watching Raven or Even Stevens at 3 in the morning anyway?? They could at least show the old stuff late at night like they used to. I also really miss Avonlea (a truly classic family show), Walt Disney World Inside Out and all the Mickey Mouse Club shows from the 50's and 70's. The buffoons that are running Disney into the ground are once again desecrating Walt's legacy with the way they've ruined this channel. My 3-year-old daughter loves some of the Playhouse Disney shows, but we have to buy whatever classic movies and shows the company decides to release on DVD for her to be able to see what great stuff we grew up on as opposed to the garbage that passes for "family" entertainment these days. Of course, that seems to be part of the grand plan...to make us all spend even more money on DVD's. What the heck is so hard with starting a Disney Classic channel? ESPN's done it, and Disney OWNS them now. You would think the mother company would get a clue. WAKE UP DISNEY!
After these long years I've been waiting, there is hope for the old magical Disney channel to return home, thanks to so many loyal fans. As a 21 year old Walt Disney fan in Louisiana I am an Animation major (thanks to Walt Disney) hoping to one day continue on with what Walt Disney started because I grew up with his creations/masterpieces, therefore I believe that those who watch the so called "Disney Channel" today should know how it got its name. So please, bring back my childhood shows so that I will be able to share them with my future children and their children after them. Thank you.
I am 17 and I remember when I was 5 getting up really early to watch mickey mouse club and care bears etc. I also really miss the 90's shows totally (flash forward, so weird, in a heartbeat etc.) And Vault Disney oh and I live in Hawaii.

I can't get my boys age 9 and 12 to go to Walt Disney World. All they know about Disney is from the Disney Channel, and it's all for GIRLS. They want nothing to do with it.

I'm 20 years old, and I grew up watching the Disney Channel. I still remember all the good shows, and credit them for stimulating a love for the arts, creativity, nostalgia, curiosity, morals, integrity, and all the things Disney stands for. Well, used to stand for. I sincerely hope all those shows will return to TV, so that my future children may also have the same positive televisioin shows that I grew up with.

I must say it is time for The Disney Channel to realize that there are many out there who enjoy the Disny Classics and they are throwing away a viable "FamilY" audience, By either not including Classic Disney Material or creating a Classic Disny Channel as an offshoot. Disney is everyones collective step-parent.The nice one that gives you cookies and tells you bedtime stories.A world without Disney classics is a world of chaos.It would make a world more chaotic than this one.Disney makes good little kids.The children of today do not understand things like goodness, purity, and right from wrong. I'm 13 and used to love the Disney channel... alot, now I don't even watch it because of all the new things that just aren't as good as the movies and shows we all watched 10 years ago. And the fact the local cable company doesn't carry it anymore, and I could see why, it's no fun anymore... Where's the old Disney?

Walt Disney himself loved nostalgia. Why doesn't the Disney Channel Feel the same way? I want to see the shows of my childhood again. Ducktales, the Wuzzles, Dumbo's circus, etc.
We need a new station that has all of the good stuff on it. I used to stay up late and watch the Mickey Mouse Club when it was on Vault Disney. I really enjoyed seeing the good stuff that helped form everything to where it is today. I want those shows back.

I am 14 years old and love Disney classics! I hate how the Disney channel is all cartoon-related shows that have nothing to do with Disney magic. I would LOVE a true Disney magic filled with Disney movies both new, like the Beauty and the Beast and old, like Dumbo!
I have to agree but also add one point they (disney) are supposed to support child development and today as me and my three year old daughter were watching playhouse disney I saw a Mcdonalds advertisement on disney channel how is McDonalds good for child development the food is horrible for you and your children I thank along with adding a new original Disney channel they should ban commercials that are from companies that are not committed to good health and great childhood development although they should not have commercials at all. I would encourage them to play up eating vegetables and fruits and drinking plenty of water instead of sugar filled soda.
Some of our best times as a family were spent watching Tinkerbell fly out and waiting to see what great show was coming on next. I would love to have that again at any age.
I asked a kid working in a video store if the Shaggy Dog was in stock, but he looked at me like I was crazy and didn't have a clue what I was talking about! I'm only 26! Disney, you've got to fix it! Kids are clueless about the GREAT stuff! Make a Disney Channel 2 for us!
I wholeheartedly agree. If nothing else, show the classic shows late nights. That is how TV Land started; Nickelodeon started showing classic shows late at night and it grew so popular that they started a new channel just for classic shows.
