I'm fourteen and still love the classic disney films, but they never show them, or any other remotley disney-like tv shows on. I would love a classic disney channel, i support this petition 100%
I support this petition. I was just telling my children a few days ago how great the old Disney channel was back in the 80's. They even sent out a monthly guide. I can't stand the new Disney channel stuff. I try to buy the older Disney movies and cartoons on DVD. My children all LOVE the older stuff too.
When I was around 12 years old I was excited when I got to stay up late to watch Vault Disney.To me it was a magical world of my mother's childhood days.I wanted to experience it too.I was very disappointed when they replaced it with reruns of the same junk that was on in the daytime.Now I'm 19 and I'm still disappointed. I would like the people of the The Disney Channel to establish a Vault Disney Channel because I really love "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color". If they won't establish it, I'll cut off their heads.

My husband and I watched Vault Disney on a regular basis; we would come in from gardening to watch Disney Inside Out; Disney specials around the holidays were always some of our favorite things to watch on the Disney Channel. Now, other than Lilo and Stitch, the House of Mouse, and Raven, there is really nothing worth watching. Please consider a channel for those of us who were raised watching Uncle Walt every Sunday evening and dreaming of going to Disneyland, walking with the Penguins in the Falklands, or flying with Peter Pan!

Walt Disney never wanted his works hidden inside a vault for no one to see. He meant to give the world magic of the child's heart. Please make these shows available again, FOR EVERYONE'S SAKE.

I support this petition. If you read this carefully it says that you will get the same shows on the Disney channel, but there should be a new channel added to the company. So take the time to READ this and maybe you will learn the true intentions of this author. It certainly inspired me and I've always loved watching Vault Disney every night to morning when it was on.
I support this petition. What happened to all the great shows from the later 1980s-1990s? That was high quality entertainment replaced by horrible tv shows whose target audience is no longer the family unit but I guess maybe young girls? It's sad, I used to LOVE the disney channel. I like the new disney channel but if they make a new disney channel it would be okay or if they put the old disney channel stuff in the mornings that would be good too but if they are going to delete the good stuff like the suite life of zack and cody, phil of the future, and thats so raven then forget it!!!
I support this petition very much. As a fourteen year old boy, I really miss the old Disney Channel and so do most of my friends and family. I remember when vault disney would be on, and I also remeber the Disneyland shows. I really want to see all of it again.
I grew up watching almost the very beginning of the Disney Channel (in the late 1980s - now I'm 21) and I remember loving to watch "Cannon Movie Tales", "Under the Umbrella Tree", "Kids Incorporated", "Kid Songs", "Dumbo's Circus", "Paddington Bear", "Welcome to Pooh Corner", and including Vault Disney (although that came a little later). And I must say I wish those shows were brought back. I miss being able to watch those shows and the now-almost completely forgotten cartoons of Mickey, Donald Duck, Goofy, Minnie Mouse (my favourite), and Pluto. Including the famous films (live-action) like "Swiss Family Robinson", "The Three Lives of Thomasina", "The Love Bug", "Gus", "The Apple Dumpling Gang", "Condorman", among others.
But since the latter 1990s, all these shows are practically non-existant and are no longer shown anymore. I don't know if anyone remembers them.

I support this petition.Because I love the old Disney Channel, it had me feeling like I was there, I mean all those shows that use to be on there like: Aladdin, Winnie the Pooh, Jungle Cubs, Goof Troop, Duck Tales, Quack Pack, Bonkers, Quackwing Duck, The Micky Mouse Club, and so much more. I mean the new Disney Channel too, but its Not like the old one, so if you can get the old Disney Channel back, I love just to write you a thank you not for getting it back on the air, because that was like part of my child hood and its not like we can't have two Disney Channels, Right!
I highly support this petition. Why because the wholesome Disney Chal=nnel that I grew up on and loved, has been turned into a bunch of nonsense. Like what ever happened to shows with meanings. i want my children to be able to grow up and watch the programs that their mother used to watch, like " Dumbo's Circus, Under The Umbrella Tree" etc. I want them to be ble to watch wholesome classic Disney movies, like escape to Witch Mountain", not nonsense like The Emperor's New School, or That's So Raven. To be honest Disney is just comercialized it is no longer unique like it used to be.

Many of the movies now in my collection were bought because I'd first seen them on the Disney Channel. The Slipper and the Rose, for example, was a movie NEVER shown anywhere else, and it's now my favorite movie! The Disney Channel was once known for quality programming ("Anne of Green Gables" and "Avonlea" being two notables), and now it's every bit as superficial and childish as every other "popular" station. Though I don't pay for any of the premium stations on cable, if it came down to it I would gladly pay for a Disney channel that played all the great FAMILY programming I grew up with.

I miss the old Disney Channel programming! Wonderful world Of Color,with that great kaleidoscope opening and Tinkerbell,The old Mickey Mouse Club(so quaint-the kids actually had manners and deferred to the adults,who in turn didn't patronise the kids!), and the great movies-I could cry everytime I remember seeing the movie "Ballerina" with performances from the Royal Danish ballet,and the beautiful scenery filmed in Denmark,and the wonderful Kirsten Simone and Mette Honningen,respectively,as the mentoring prima ballerina and the young aspiring ballerina torn between her passion to be a ballerina,and her mother's and fiance's wishes. Disney could at least make a second channel for those of us who miss all these great shows,and I know there are many of us. Come on Disney,show some loyalty to your longtime fans!

My favorite features on Disney DVDs are the pieces of vintage Disney Television. The older the better! Disney has such a great television library, it is a shame not to use it. I miss shows from the Vault very much.
I support this petition. I watched The Wonderful World of Disney as a child in the '70's. I would love to see those movies and cartoons again. I buy as many on dvd as I can, but there are so many they could show them constantly without wearing out their welcom. An entire channel devoted to classic Disney products would always be on at my house.
The "new" Disney Channel has completly forgot of anyone over 12.Yes I am 18 and I remember "the good old day" when I could set down with my neices and nephews and watch Disney Channel now I can't stand it,IT IS NOT PLAYED IN MY HOUSE NO LONGER SINCE 2001.Everything has gone down hill because there is no classics there is no REAL Disney anymore.
The new Disney Channel sucks ass. Too many pointless teeny-bopper shows and boring cartoons. I have an better idea for the Disney Channel. CAN ALL OF THESE NEW SHOWS! They should show old children's shows like Fraggle Rock in the morning. During mid-morning-lunch hours show classic Mickey/Donald/Goofy shorts Bring back Disney Afternoon (Darkwing Duck, Chip 'n Dale, DuckTales etc) and show that around 2 PM. At like 5 PM show the non-animated shows (Growing Pains, Dinosaurs, Bug Juice etc) at like 8 show at least one movie. And at 11 at night, Vault Disney (Spin and Marty, Zorro etc). This should be a good idea. The kids and adults will love it! And I'm 19 by the way.
There is a market out there for all kinds of movies.Those of us that enjoy the DISNEY of the "boomers" generation are being penalized by the board having taken away what we grew up with,and still love,
from our television viewing.

I certainly miss all the quality and family oriented programming that used to be on the old Disney Channel. I miss everything about it, including Vault Disney, the Classic Disney Cartoons, Under the Umbrellla Tree, Adventures in Wonderland, Documentaries, Specials, Classic Films, Musicals, Holiday Specials etc. All of this should be brought back immediately!!!! I absolutely hate the new Disney Channel. It has nothing good on it whatsoever!!! Bring back the wholesome quality of Disney televsion. Mr. Disney would have wanted it this way. If he was alive today, he would be appalled and disgusted with all the new programming. In fact, I am positively certain that he wouldn't approve of any of these modern day shows. Walt Disney was a family man, and that's why we should preserve the family quality and moral values that he exercised during his lifetime. Broadcast the original magic and charm of his company!!!!
If there were some sort of Disney Nostalgia Channel, it would be my primary channel - guaranteed! I'd watch even if it were a subscription-type channel like HBO.

I grew up on the classic disney shows. my kids grew up on the original disney channel. we all miss originals. Bring 'em back - the country needs more normalcy.
the old Disney Channel is what I grew up on. I try to watch the new Disney Channel and its a bunch of bunk. How do children even know who Mickey Mouse is if you don't even play the real cartoons anymore? (or a Mousekateer? Or a Rescue Ranger? Or Huey Dewey and Louie?) PLEASE bring REAL Disney programing!!
In my opinion, it would be in Mr. Eisner's best interest to turn the flop ABC Family into the Vault Disney Channel. Or spend the money to add a channel, even at a premium subscription cost. The point is that as much as Disney is about nuturing a dream, family oriented entertainment, and a magical memory, it also recognizablely, a business. This in mind, I am boggled as to why a demand for business has not been met with a supply. This website, and many others out there, can attest to the desire for a Vault Disney, or Family oriented channel mixing classic and contemporary programming. It is my hope that our firm interests will so be heard, acknowledged, and move into motion our handing down of family classics created by Mr. Disney, which, in turn, would boost revenue for the company.
