We, the undersigned, call on FIFA not to ban the vuvuzela (horn) from the 2010 World Cup. We understand that some people do not like the noise, but believe that it is important for fans to be able to create the atmosphere they want at football matches. The horn is not dangerous, so the arguments applied to banning objects like flares do not apply; and all horns are sold with a warning not to blow directly into a person's ear. We are aware that it is mostly people who watch games on television who have complained about the horn, and think that people who make the effort to go to live games should be in control of the atmosphere at games. We believe that the atmosphere at football matches in general has diminished over the years and that banning the horn would be detrimental to an internationally enjoyed game.
