Please leave this man alone! The US has bigger fish to fry. If he's doing well as a resident alien then there is no other significant reason that I am aware of that can justify his deportation.
I say keep the teacher here. He's been here 6 year's doing nothing but good why would you want to send him back to a country where his life may be in danger just because he made a simple MISTAKE and got the court date wrong??? Besides we need more good teachers in our schools and in our communities helping to raise our children.
Where is our humanity? How can we, in good conscience, deny people their lives and stop their irreplaceable contributions to our society? Obain must not be deported!
It would be a terrible disservice to the students of Boston and to all of us who care about the high quality contributions made by this committed teacher. Please do not deport him. We need men like him in our community.
This is very tragic, instead of sending him to a dangerous situation we should be keeping people like this in our community. This is not an act of Christian justice.
Mr Auttouoman has demonstrated to be an outstanding individula and has contributed significantly to our children education. Dont take this away and put his like in danger by sending him back. Please give him a chance to live the american dream.
This is not the purpose of homeland security. When someone is performing a useful and productive service he should be allowed to continue. Follow your conscience
this is my child's teacher and mr. bush if you truely believe that no child should be left behind then stand behind your conviction and do the right thing for the children!
Using a technicality to deprive a community of a badly needed teacher, one who is Afican and happily serving an African American community, is simply government bureaucracy run wildly amok. i hope someone can step in, cut through the red tape, and fix this problem. Byron Good
It took years of struggle and fighting to obtain knowledgeable, dedicated teachers who were willing to educate the children in our urban communities....here we have one who has embraced the opportunity to expand the minds and spirits of his students and they are being forced to struggle and fight to keep him. This is not bureaucratic, it's shameful. A teacher that can spark this kind of outpouring from TEENAGERS(!)has to be a most amazing man, perhaps an audience with President Bush would prove as much.
To the Fenway students...stand tall, stand proud. What you are doing is wonderful. What you are learning is essential. Continue to learn and be involved citizens. One day, one of you will have the power to cease such foolishness.
The BPS system needs Mr. Obain, the young, black males of the BPS system need Obain and it is ridiculous that those who posess the power to help this situation are only looking to get rid of him. It's obvious that the Government still does not care about the inner city youth and their schools!
Help the students, obviously this teacher has done his job and beyond. don't take him away from them. Let him stay. you don't hear of many good teachers. Give him another chance.
Please do not remove this teacher from this country. He has made significant contributions to the students and the community. He has garnered praise from his peers and support from the parents. Special concession should be made to keep such an excellent teacher within this school system. We are jeopardizing his life and the lives of the students he teaches. How can we expect our children to learn and develop when we remove the teachers who help to shape and focus their lives? Please do what you can to keep Mr. Auttouoman's residency here in Boston. Thank you.
Working with students from FHS, I have seen the impact that Obain has had on his students. It would be a disservice to everyone to tear him away in the middle of the school year.
We need our teacher Mr.Obain. Without him us kids are nothing. He has done a lot for this school and you just can't take it all aways. You are letting all his hard work go to waste. Let Mr.Obain stay.
The Boston School System needs as many good teachers as it can get and should not have to fear losing one. Allow Mr. Auttouoman to stay and continue to teach our children.
I work with one of the children supporting Mr. Auttouoman. She is an exceptional young lady and an asset to our church youth group. For her to speak so highly of him get's an instant stamp of approval from me. To whom it may concern, this gentleman is hardly a terrorist. Had this much effort been put in 5 - 10 years ago, 9/11 could have been thwarted.
Fenway is an environment that teaches their students to stand for what they believe is right. I am a Fenway alumn and support this nuturing community of students, teachers and faculty in anything that they do.
Our teacher Obain cannot leave. He has done so much for the Fenway Community. I have only been at this school since September and he has done so much for me in that short period of time.
