If the students are this motivated to save Auttouoman from deportation, I cannot imagine the school system without him. Listen to the students so that they are not "left behind."
Please do not deport this teacher. I have heard nothing but good things about his character, teaching and his mentor role to many of the Boston school students. we need more teachers like him. don't make a grave mistake by sending him back to a country where he is not wanted and will be in danger.
I work in the Educational field, and it is very important to keep the good positive teachers in the lives of our children, afterall they are our future.
In January 2001, President Bush expressed a concern that "too many of our neediest children are being left behind," and less than a year later, 'No Child Left Behind' was created.
Please do not send Mr. Auttouman away and leave his students behind. He clearly been effective with some of our neediest children, and is an asset to our nation, especially in these challenging times for our educational system.
If Mr. Auttouman is deported, everyone loses. Make a winning decision to give Mr. Auttouman the opportunity to continue educating and inspiring our future leaders.
I work with middle school children in inner-city Cleveland. I understand the dire need for more adults to get involved with the kids, not just as teachers, but as a friends and mentors. Many homes of inner-city low income children are broken and because of this their education suffers and the face discipline issues. Our school system has trouble recruiting good teachers that can challenge the outlook of students and change their attitudes about education. We can not afford to loose a good teacher that as a heart to teach and challenge the minds of our youth. The fact that Mr. Auttouoman decades his time and support to these middle school kids, and they have come out in the masses to support him he deserves another opportunity.
I have written an email to President Bush requesting a recant on the order to deport Mr. Autouoman. I will send a copy of this petition to my colleagues, family and friends.
Our educational system is in such trouble already- we should be focussing on ways to retain quality teachers. Please leave some hope in these childrens' lives by giving their teacher a chance to defend himself. That would be a true lesson in democracy.
You want to deport somebody of WHAT profession for no reason?! The one thing this country really needs now are teachers. This will not stand. If Obain goes, the rest of our empire is not long to follow.
A good teacher is the best gift of all for our children, our country, and the world. Deporting this teacher based on immigration misunderstandings is a serious breech of the public trust.
Please take the time to actually hear this man's case for asylum. "We the People of the United States, in order to . . . establish justice, . . . promote the general welfare . . ." Do a little of both.
This is the perfect example of a teacher being committed to
President Bush's efforts of "No child left behind." If you really mean this, Mr.President, Sir, then please grant Mr. Obain Attouoman palitical asylum. There is no better spokesperson for you NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND EFFORTS.
Keeping Mr. Auttouoman in the United States will reaffirm our commitment to human rights, provide quality education for our children, and spread positive relations with citizens around the world. You have the power to give him a hearing. Please use it.
If he has done nothing wrong and is contributing to society (in a very upstanding fashion), then it would be a crime to remove him from the United States.
This man was an exemplary teacher and was chosen to begin trainning to become a principal.
He was a hero before he was shuttled off to Boston's prison. Don't banish this upstanding citizen.
Don't take away a man who wants to inprove the minds of children, a man who works hard and deserves a better life. Don't send him away, Bush. If anyone should be sent away, it should be you!
