Mr. Obain Attouoman represents everything that is good with American schools. Let us give him the opportunity to complete his purpose in life here in America where the proof of his success is in his students.
I think that sometimes it is worth making exceptions to the rules for the benefit and wellbeing of the school community. I really hope the Mr. Auttouoman may keep helping student learn in this country.
With crime statistics being what they are today what is needed are teachers willing to go the extra mile for their students. From what I have read, Mr. Attouoman is such a teacher. Now his students are going the extra mile for him. Our country needs to go the extra mile for all of them.
Our country is better than this. I commend the students and folks in the community who are organizing to support Mr. Attouoman and prevent a tragic injustice from being perpetrated by a bureaucracy that is obviously blind to the people it is dealing with.
We urge you to reconsider your decision regarding Obain Auttouoman. He is such a fine example as a high school teacher. Do not deport him. Keep him in our country.
I truly admire how these young students are handling this with their teacher. President Bush, you know how God works in mysterious way. I also believe that in your heart, this man has done this country good by educating his students, and as you can see he's done a fine job with his students 100% behind him. He came here to this country to escape the suffering of his homeland. He didnt come here to set off a timebomb, he came here because he knew he can have the freedom he deserves. I dont know Mr. Auttouoman, but i do pray that he doesnt have to return back to his homeland all beacuse he missed a date that was not readable. Well, I guess I've said all I can say.
Thank You..
Don't forget who we are. We all are immigrants so this teacher is a model for our society. His deportation is a shame for all Americans who promote democracy.
Talented, caring teachers are a gift to our children. Please do not send Mr. Auttouoman back to the Ivory Coast, which would be a loss for "our children" and dangerous for him. He has been an upstanding citizen in our country and enriches our country, assisting us with reaching the goals of eaving "No Child Behind".
Mr.Auttouoman, what can I say, he is a blessing. I have had the pleasure of watching him work in the classroom. He is wonderful. His students love him because he cares about them. We need more teachers like him not less.
i think that it is good that you are doing this for your teacher. i also think that you guys should get a metal for what you guys are doing, keep up the good work
President Bush and Secretary Chertoff, please understand the extenuating circumstances in Mr. Auttouoman's case, embrace the spirit of the law, and allow him to stay in the United States as a highly valuable, much loved, member of our society.
I know Mr. Auttouoman having taught at a neighboring pilot high school in Boston for the past 10 years. He is a dedicated and compassionate teacher. He, our young people, and the Boston Public School System deserve better.
I have worked in the public school system and it is rare that you find students showing so much love and support for a teacher. It is to be praised and rewarded.
PEOPLE WE NEED TO KEEP SIGNING. SIGN THIS AND SEND IT TO EVERYONE AND ALSO LOOK AT FENWAY'S WEBSITE fenway.bostob.k12.ma.us
AND CALL THE WHITE HOUSE.. THE BILL HAS BEEN INTRODUCED AND NOW THE REPUBLICANS HAVE TO PASS IT AND BUSH HAS TO SIGN IT. KEEP FIGHTING!!!!
Deporting Mr. Auttouoman is WRONG! Why? 1. Our government will deprive young people of this man's talents. 2. Our government will needlessly endanger his life. 3. It will waste OUR money doing all this, money which could be spent on schools. This reveals the true brutality and violence of the American government's fake "freedom" and "democracy".

I am in support of the leadership action of the Fenway High school students and agree that great contributors like Obain to our society should be recognized and praised accordingly.
Blanket policies and blind commitment to procedure alone destroy the very freedoms and fairness they are meant to protect. Justice should be administered by thoughtful intellect, not robotic conformity.
