my name is ileana harrison of arlington texas. i am in the seventh grade. the reason i even came upon this case is because my speech teacher gave us this topic for a debate. every since then i have been following this case to find out more information on what happend to this poor man.i give all my support out to you all for believing in your beliefs. stay strong.
Mr. Auttouoman is an asset to society...it is hard to believe that you would even consider deporting him when there are so many others that do not get deported and do nothing to help American society. When you find someone willing to work hard, help others, and pay taxes...you should keep him!
Obain is not only a wonderful person but he is an excellent teacher. He is not only competent but also highly dedicated to his work. He cares a lot for his students and I know he makes a difference in their lives. Please let Obain stay. Let him stay and be a role model to so many young men who don't have anyone to look up to. Let him stay and do what he does best: TEACH FROM THE HEART!
I'm editor of the website www.congoboston.com and i support the passage of the bil on the behalf of my fellow refugees, especially those from Africa who are being neglected, and face deportation measures.
I am signing a petition because through experience, it is obvious that our country has a serious issue with obtaining and keeping teachers that go beyond their "official" duties. It is a disgrace that a country in which the majority of it's citizens started out as immigrants are so quick to use the very term in recent times in order to single out and discriminate against others. I strongly urge those with the powers to do so to reexamine what it means to be in a position that can have an affect on not just one, but many lives (including future students).
In this country where exceptionally GREAT teachers are few and far between we should not deport them...he is making a difference in his school and he should continue to stay there...i feel that once the African American community experiences something great it gets taken away...deport the people who bring drugs into our country, deport the people who bring weapons in our country...but you cant deport greatness...he is an inspiration to all around the world now... the students of Fenway High School have the right to have a great teacher...As an American I dont want to send him back to a land that doesnt want him and take him away from the children who truly need him here and we should keep him here...he has helped educate the students of this country and he cant be aloud to stay here for life...its OUTRAGEOUS
PLEASE LET US (FENWAY HIGH)KEEP OUR TEACHER, I AM A JUNIOR AT FENWAY HIGH SCHOOL AND WITHOUT MR. OBAIN THERE IS NOTHING HE IS THE BEST TEACHER AND WHEN ADULTS SAY ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS BELIVE IN THINGS AND YOU CAN MAKE THEM HAPPEN, WELL I BELIEVE AND I HAVE THE FULL SUPPORT ON OBAINS SIDE. NOW MY MOTHER CAME TO THIS COUNTRY 38-39 YEARS AGO AND ALL I HEAR FROM HER IS THAT SHE LOVES THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE THEY GAVE HER FREEDOM BUT I DONT SEE WHY U CANT GIVE OBAIN A CHANCE, PLEASE GIVE HIM A CHANCE SO I CAN CHANGE MY MIND OF HOW I SEE AMERICA NOW...PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU ANYTHING, THANK U AND I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE HE WILL WIN THIS FIGHT

This is silly. It is clear this man is a good man. Be a welcoming country and listen to all sides of the story before acting so hastily. Keep this teacher in our schools!
Mr. Obain, is a work working man who really cares for his students. He has demonstrated it in so many ways. I as a Fenway alumni, can truthfully say that without Mr. Obain, Fenway will never be at peace!
Obain is such a good influence on our fenway community any other school would be lucky to have him. H'es part of the heart of this school take that away and there's no beat.
Operation Iraq Freedom Veteran out of Ft. Hood, TX. There has been no illegal action on Mr. Auttouoman's behalf since he's been here. He's been a dedicated teacher and and has made an impact in numerous young students' lives. Deporting him for the sake of "good moral value of the law" will be a huge mistake that will surley place a negative outlook on our country. Please reconsider your decision.
