4 Mar 2005 - 2:11    Candelaria Silva : Effective teachers are a rarety. Especially rare is having urban students rally around a teacher in this manner. Please allow Mr. Auttouoman to remain in the U.S. in his teaching position for Fenway High School in Boston.
4 Mar 2005 - 2:12    Christine Turnier-Vallecillo : A teacher who inspires his students like this should be rewarded, not deported.
4 Mar 2005 - 2:12    Melissa Sewruk : Listen to the kids!

4 Mar 2005 - 2:14    Melissa Colon : America is the a safe haven to refugees worldwide--to think that we would deport him, a man of excellence, an educator, a person committed to equity and justice, is beyond belief.
4 Mar 2005 - 2:15    Eileen de los Reyes : As co-chair of the Board of Trustees I ask that you reconsider Mr. Obain's deportation. This teacher is central to the education of our students. His commitment to the children is such that they have engaged in an active democratic process to petition on behalf of our teacher. Eileen de los Reyes
4 Mar 2005 - 2:15    Anne Morency : Please, make this exception. This was an honest mistake. Why would Mr. Obie ignore such an important hearing? He must mean the world to these high school children and this is breaking my heart to know that an extraordinary man, a great teacher will be forced to leave what he loves so much and these kids are fighting for him to stay. Isn't that telling you something. Where is justice?
4 Mar 2005 - 2:16    Corey Allen : Have a heart baby!
4 Mar 2005 - 2:17    Bonnie J. Gordon : Mr. President: I am a Boston resident and education professional. Mr. Auttouoman exemplifies everything you have been saying about the need for qualified, caring teachers who can help students achieve their dreams, goals, and aspirations. I know Fenway High School quite well and urge you to take action to at least delay Obain's deportation long enough for a thorough investigation into his case. We need him here. Thank you.
4 Mar 2005 - 2:17    Jonathan Bonner : I've been following this story and it is rather silly. He's helping students in our country. At least give the man another hearing date (preferably one that it TYPED OUT, it is 2005 you know)
4 Mar 2005 - 2:17    Aaron Schildkrout : This is an utter outrage. The decision must be reversed.
4 Mar 2005 - 2:17    Mark Schafer : Mr. Obain Auttouoman is the kind of person who makes and has always made this country great.
4 Mar 2005 - 2:17    Janet Kang :

4 Mar 2005 - 2:22    Gertrude Shaw :
4 Mar 2005 - 2:22    Deborah Belle : Deporting this wonderful teacher would be a tragic loss to his students and to our vision of America
4 Mar 2005 - 2:24    Max Pokrivchak : As a former substitute teacher in the Boston public school system, I know how rare and how valuable good and dedicated teachers are. Please do not punish Boston's students by deporting a dedicated teacher over a technicality.

4 Mar 2005 - 2:25    Katie Dunaway :
4 Mar 2005 - 2:26    Dana Lossia : Allow the man a hearing. How can you send a potential asylee back into danger?
4 Mar 2005 - 2:27    Greg Mullen : We cannot allow beaurocracratic technicalities to triumph over the safety and well being of a valuable teacher! Stop this from happening!

4 Mar 2005 - 2:28    leslie tam :
4 Mar 2005 - 2:29    Melanie Sorli : Immigration laws and processes should align with our country's highest values. How should we treat our neighbor who is seeking asylum? Certainly not like this.

4 Mar 2005 - 2:32    Winston C. Cox : At a time in history such as this, a man like Obain should be embraced by this country.

4 Mar 2005 - 2:32    Sarah A. Flint : Dear Mr. Pesident, Please don't take this good teacher from these students. I personally know pass students of the Fenwick who have went on to college because of Mr. Auttouman dedication to their education. This really isn't sending a good message to our young people. Thank You Sarah A. Flint
4 Mar 2005 - 2:33    Dennis Brophy : What is happening to Mr. Auttouoman is wrong. It is because of immigrants like him that our country is great. To send someone like him, who so embodies the American spirit, back to such a dangerous environment because of a technicality is not only hypocritical, it's a travesty. Please do what you can to rectify the situation. Thank you.
