Michael Gambon currently plays Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies. Gambon portrays Dumbledore horribly. Dumbledore is supposed to be calm, which Michael Gambon can't seem to understand. In the fourth movie, when Harry's name comes out of the goblet, Dumbledore pushes Harry against the wall, shakes him, and yells, 'DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME INTO THE GOBLET OF FIRE?!' And Harry, terrified, responds with, 'No sir,' and Dumbledore still doesn't believe him so continues to yell at Harry. Anyway, the point is, Michael Gambon isn't a good Dumbledore, and we propose that Ian McKellen take his place. McKellen was wonderful as Gandalf in Lord of the Rings. He would be a perfect Dumbledore; he has a twinkle in his eye, he is kind and funny but can also be powerful and wise. Ian McKellen should play Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies.

I honestly couldnt tell the difference. i thought dumbledore and gandalf were the same actor....i\'m in shock a little bit.

I know exactly what you mean. My thoughts exactly with the new Dumbledore. The casting agent should be fired. I was just talking about this with a friend. Harris had empathy with Harry. I would've liked Peter O'Toole to replace him, then Sean Connery. But McKellen would be better than what they got. Shame.

I support this petition. I don't think Michael Gambon is "horrible", but he definitely does not do the character justice, as Ian Mckellen would. However, this isn't to say Ian Mckellen is the only superior choice.

Richard could never be replaced. McKellen will always be Gandalf and would be an awesome Dumbledore but he should and will always remain as Gandalf. as for Gambon, I like him and he's simply following script. But i;ll sign for the fuck of it lol

Ian McKellen is great for Dumbledore, and Michael Gambon has his own version of Dumbledore. Gambon needs to read the books, understand exactly how Dumble dore is.

Yes! Gambon plays dumbledore too aggressively. It's not much fun to watch. And what's with the always gray robes...Dumbledore wears robes of amazing and varying colors

Michael Gambon does NOT portray Dumbledore correctly in any way close to the books. He is awful. Ian McKellen would be perfect for the role (aside from Harris - who WAS dumbledore!)
