Dyed fish are being sold in fish stores to customers who are unaware of how unatural and cruel it is.

Fish are dyed by either dipping or injecting with the dyes which stresses the fish causing health problems for the fish or even death.

Fish are stripped of their protrective coatings when they are dipped making them vulnerable to diseases.

This practice is cruel and barbaric and needs to be stopped.

The stores will keep stocking dyed fish as long as people keep buying them or the laws allows them to sell them. That is why we need to make people aware and stop buying them and have the laws changed to not allow such practice.

This is such a disgusting practice that it instantaneously gives a completely negative opinion of any store that sells painted fish. I boycott and REFUSE to buy ANYTHING from any store that does so - including on that's just a block away. The industry MUST STOP THIS DISGRACEFUL PRACTICE NOW.

Please do not purchase fish from PetLand stores in Columbus, GA USA, they are carrying many many dyed fish species, and they are the most ignorant bunch of goons ive ever met. They think its ok, I told the girl how about I chemically strip a puppy then paint it? Does that sound ok? She just rolled her ignorant eyes and had a blank whatever face... I hope they go out of business.

because I have recently bought a dyed fish, and didn't know about it. But now that I do, it would be best if this was stopped. Painting fish is inhumane even though the fish supposedly do not feel pain.
