"We cannot support Linux in a legal way."
Support for other multimedia formats does not mean support for Linux - it means no monopolistic support for Microsoft.
As a European citizen I find that everybody in theEU should be able to watch the streaming servicethey paid for, independent from the platform usedto watch this media.
I didn't elect you and pay you (a considerable amount of) tax money for you to indirectly support large US corporations and their stockholders. Governments should NOT be tied to proprietary foreign standards.
As a European citizen I find that everybody in the EU should be able to watch the streaming service they paid for, independent from the platform used to watch this media.

Everyone should be able to view information the EU spreads, now and in the future. The EU should therefore be required to use open standards for all information they spread.
In the information age (21st century, digital economy, ...), a DEMOCRACY should make information available to all its citizens, in the most unencumbered way (patents, proprietary rights, accessibility, ...) possible. Freedom of information policy.
As a democtratic organization representing millions of people, the EU should use open formats for all such applications. I am paying for the EU through my taxes, why are you forcing me to use (and pay for) proprietary (American) computer software to access a European democratic process?
The EU as represantative of its people must enable *all* its citizens to participate in and follow all processes of governing.
It is therefore mandatory to use standardized and open formats for distribution of information in digital form.
The European Union should work in the people's best interest. There are millions of Linux-users in Europe so they should definetaly change to a platform-independent solution.
