The EU document formats should be cross-platform. EU writes this in dozens of documents. Why you use proprietary, closed and commercial company-related ones? Dont discriminate linux users please! Lisabon 2010 needs them very much.
The EU can only buy a ridiculous streaming solution witch can only be fully used with closed software ? Do they have only asked a secretary team to find their product ? Ridiculous ...
The european union should take actions to provide free standards/solutions/infor mation (free as in freedom(libre)) for free citizens. I therefore consider it mandatory to make the streaming service available for any OS out there. --markus

Seems like someone there has lost the ability to find out what's reality and what's just marketing FUD.

Is this a joke ? One one side EU fights against Microsoft's monopolistic position and on the other side there's no effort to promote open solutions like Linux ? Wake up !
The comission should always be examplary on this. It would have been so simple to strore the stream using an OPEN format, I can't beleive they went for WMA.
It is claimed that the EU project is about democraty, among other things. How can then the EU pusch away taxpaying citicens based on what computer software they chose? This is agains the core values of the union.
Please open up for everyone. Since when are EU citizens obliged to purchase windows software to follow the council that makes decisions about the EU citizens.

It's simply illegal for a free sowtware user to look at E.U. council's decisions about things like... EUCD, software patents and so on. I just hope that's a mistake that will soon be corrected.
Où est donc l'europe démocratique ? i.e. celle qui ne cantonne pas ses citoyens à utiliser des logiciels dont le premier acte consiste à faire signer une clause(s) antisociale et honteuse !
